    appreciate the input.

Calzaghe's undefeated record, and domination of the Super Middleweight division is something which Cotto aint done.

But in terms of calibre of opposition faced, I think Cotto edges it.

Thats why I added, about the same in the poll option.

The edge in come easily favors Cotto. AWHile Joe's defense streak is long, I cannot take TWO guys racking up a string title defenses concurrently, as serious as if it were a REAL world champ. I think Cotto just edges Joe C.

    Totally Calzaghe.

Cotto's cooler and more badass, but not better.

damn i hate this question since i feel Cotto is really underrated since his loss to Marg but i gotta say as of now Calzaghe holds more weight (no pun intended).

Calzaghe, guy has a lot of haters but his achievements speak for themselves.

As much as I love Cotto I have to go with Calzaghe. Criticize it or not you can't ignore his dominance plus I feel he was the better fighter. If only he had better competition then this wouldn't be so close but Cotto's resume is probably better. TBH, I don't think Cotto is even an ATG but I do think he'll make it into the Hall. Calzaghe WILL get in. There, no bias in my post though I'm a Cotto fan.

Funny thing is, his biggest achievement, his string of title defenses, was being duplicated at essentially the same time as Sven Ottke.

Calzaghe, not by much though. Miguel's had an outstanding career, and he is still fighting afterall. A nice win at 154 could move him above Joe.

Cotto has taken on some of the best fighters of the generation.

Calzaghe isn't even famous in Whales.
