    former lineal champion until he moved up. undefeated. 11 world title defences. dawsons last performance was poor.

    Don't post this on the Ozzy forum, they'd have heart attack with Danny Green at 12th! Haha! Dawson should move up 1 IMO, love seeing Froch above Bute who has beaten no-one of note IMO, and good to see both Brook and cleverly in the top 15.

    Also, as Bradley is number 1 and Devon is 3 at LWW, will their fight be for the ring title (it's the only 1 I really regard as legit) or will they wait until Khan fights the winner?

    Good work, I agreed with most of that. Escalante doesn't fight at 122 any more and hasn't for over a year. Also it''s Eloy Perez not Elroy.

    ring magazine has khan at 2. there devon vs alexander fight will not be for the ring title but it will be for mine.

    But then you're punishing Dawson for fighting a better quality of opposition, away from home and it was a pretty close fight against Pascal as well.

    Not really knocking you because I see your point but this is what pisses me off in boxing.

    You have a guy who was the main man in the division in Chad Dawson. He goes to fight another belt holder in Antonio Tarver but in the process gets his own WBC belt taken off him because he wouldn't fight Glen Johnson straight away. Convincingly beats Tarver twice because of a stupid rematch clause. Then rematches and beats Glen Johnson again. Then he tried to win back his WBC title that was wrongly taken off him by going to Canada to fight Jean Pascal where he loses a close technical decision late on. And because of this he gets dropped below Zsolt Erdei in the rankings because Erdei beat Samson Onyango.

    Boxing fans shouldn't care about 11 poxy alphabelt title defences. Especially when he's fought nobody of note and a worrying amount of his 'wins' were questionable hometown split decisions.

    Fighters get punished for trying to fight the best sometimes and then we wonder why they're all scared to travel and fight each other?

    Erdei beat Gonzalez who was lineal champion. None of the yanks went to across the atlantic to fight him, or even called him out to the US. he defended the lineal title 11 times and only lost it because he moved up to cruiserweight and won a title.

    I get your point, maybe Dawson should be ahead but to say Dawson lost to Pascal because it was in Canada is bull****.

    Also Dawson lost his belt because he wasnt prepared to fight Diaconou in Romania after Diaconous promoter won the purse bids.

    I thought sometimes they made exceptions and awarded the belt if number 1 and 3 fought? Seems odd if it wasn't for the ring title as Alexander was rated 2 until his poor performance against Kotelnik.

    Either way Khan beats the pair of em so it doesn't really matter. But would be nice if they sanctioned it.

    I'm not saying he lost to Pascal because it was in Canada. I'm saying that we should be reasonable when a boxer has to travel. Fighting away from home is difficult. And when you're in unfamiliar territory with a crowd against you it's hard to get a decision especially against a fired up opponent. Everything's against you and we need to give credit for boxers that are willing to travel to make the best fights happen. Otherwise they'll all stay at home defending different titles for easy money.

    Erdei may have beaten Gonzalez 5 or 6 years ago but that whole situation was ****ed up at the time. Unless you want to pretend that Roy Jones never came around and Dariusz Michaelchzewski was undisputed king? Also I'm not criticising Dariusz or favouring US boxers here because that situation was a mess and Roy Jones was as much to blame as anyone in my opinion.

    Plus who exactly has Erdei beaten since becoming lineal champion? Apart from dodgy decision wins against Garay a couple of times and another close 'win' against Fragomeni at cruiserweight.. he's done pretty much nothing at light heavy.

    Unless your from the US, Britain, Germany, Japan or Canada you pretty much travel for every single fight. Theres a 100 other boxers in the rankings that have never had a major fight at home I don't see why Chad Dawson deserves credit for having one fight in Canada and fighting badly especially when he can't draw 1000 fans in the US. All his fights should be on the road.

    Ok well put it this way. Before Chad Dawson fought Pascal, would you have had Zsolt Erdei above him in the rankings?

    I just don't see why he gets dropped in your rankings for going out of his way to fight the best opponents. Presumably if Dawson would have fought Samson Onyango in his only fight this year and won you'd still have him above Erdei? That's just wrong.

    Apart from a fight he won 6 years ago, I don't see why Erdei deserves to be ranked so highly.
