Frank Warren (In His Column): Matt Macklin Was Stunning

I would LOVE to see Pirog vs Macklin. f*ck it, pirog vs anyone. He's the leader of the pack at this weight, after Martinez and Williams

It wouldn't sell though so probably won't happen. Also, Macklin should avoid him at all costs unless he wants a convincing defeat on his record

 

If i was macklins advisor i'd tell him to go for lee in america, no point fighting martinez and pirog next because imo he gets beat. Make some money with the popular irish fighters that are in america lee/duddy and then he has nothing to lose fighting the best, but the serious money for mack is with these two imo

 

well well well, slappy goes on yet another tirade about an irish fighter. Macklin is euro/wbo level at best. I reckon barker beats him on a wide scorecard 9-3ish, macklin is a decent fighter but nout special. Cant see him beating or competing with any of the champs at that weight (barker and lee included aswell).
