exactly, kirk. i was expecting the same old **** from hopkins coming into this fight and, honestly, i was pretty much unbiased when the bell rang and the first round began. Rounds 1-3 i was thinking, "uh-oh, this might be another one of those ugly ones", but when he began to dominate from the fourth round through the 6th-7th-8th-9th, i have to admit i was out of my seat yelling at my computer i was so shocked. it was incredible what he did tonight and it was really hard to hear that last scorecard come in making it a majority draw. i was really hoping to hear his name called as the new light heavyweight champ. what a bummer.

Damn such a negative taste of the weekend after two good fights, just the very thing we didn't need at the end of the year. At least the draw doesn't look as bad on Hopkins' resume as the loss on Denise's, but both should be champ right now. Anyway, it's time for you Dan to pick the probable losers or I'll never catch you my good man looking to steal my belt! :yep
I can live with the draw Pascal got. Hopkins really really worked his ass off.. and certainly deserved a victory, but after two 10-8 rounds (legit or not) and a couple of close rounds, I dont think a draw is such a big travesty. Huck on the other hand really let me down last night. He basically only threw the straight right over and over again. Denis did some good work to the body and head.. He DID slow down in the last couple of rounds.. He has never been 12 rounds and last time he went 10 rounds was in 2004. He's a warrior and should get a rematch. Super Six in cruiserweight could be quite sweet. Lebedev, Huck, Cunningham, Green, Frenkel, and Wlodarzcyk or Ross.. Would be a great tournament.
Yea I feel you, I kinda thought his legs were gone after the 3rd, and was getting nervous. But by the start of the 5th I saw he had adjusted and things were gonna get interesting. Like I said before, and I know you already know, Hopkins even at this advanced age, is never an easy nights work, and should NEVER be counted out. He never ceases to amaze. What was even more impressive was, like you, I was on the edge of my seat for the first time I can remember in a Bhop fight.
Tackle, I will try to have my decision on that PM by today m'man I have looked at them, relooked, trying to make up my mind lol. I am trying to find a way to encorperate it all..... as there are things I like about each one to be honest. Try to make up my mind today m'man :good
Looks like i finished 14th or thereabouts. Not too bad for my first full year playing this. Plus i missed a full month. Cant wait for next years, gonna aim for a top ten finish, i think i need to improve my KO ratio and forget going for the underdog pick as often as i did. Some bad picks in Foreman over Cotto, Mitchell over Katsidis etc. Anyway big thanks to Kirk, Tackleberry, Bigbone and everyone else who contributes to making this work. And ill catch you all next year!!!!!
