To me, it was a robbery. I am neither a Hopkins or Pascale fight. The fight clearly showed that Hopkins was a better fighter, tactically and technically . Because of his lack in sklills,Pascale had to revert to the unattractive tactics of running and waiting to land occasional power shots. I don't think that you deserve a draw with this style against a 45 year old boxing legend.
hopkins won. they should consider other factors during the fight such as quality of the knockdowns, willingness to engage, heart, etc.
You seem to forget that judges score a fight one round at a time. They are not judging the big picture. Pascal was ahead by 5 points after 3 rounds. He didn't need much to draw from then on.
No and neither Pascal got robbed. The fight was difficult to score to begin with and close. Could have gone either way.
First, It was a pretty good fight, congrats to both. :thumbsup Second, it was too close to call & "a Draw" was probably the right decision even though I had Pascal winning a close one.
Age has zero bearing on scoring of a fight.....................you don't get extra points for "being the old guy"
Depends on what you view as taking control. From where I was sitting at the Colisée Pepsi (not too far from the ring), I can vouch that rounds 5, 8 and, to a lesser extent 10 are debatable. As a matter of fact the judges have presented contradicting scores for these rounds.
