Any and every knowledgeable Boxing Fan knew this about Pavlik from the very 1st time they saw him fight. If you didn't see it...then it says alot about you!!!

Can you please tell me why you have the assumption and perception why I would be receiving a "Welfare Check?"

That's all I am saying...leave it to one of the few knowledgeable posters left in ESB to understand this. And As usual...this "New" generation of IDIOT posters only attempt to attack and/or discredit the TS because they lack the knowledge to comprehend what I was trying to convey.

I fail to understand the obsession some haters have about Calzaghe. I don´t think he is an ATG, but while active he was an exciting fighter that attracted a lot of attention and his resume is, even if not not fantastic, still very good with several wins over world class boxers.

And your argumentation does not hold water. Obviously, the worth of a boxer such as Bika or Manfredo can only be measured from the achievements they have during their careers. Thats how all boxers get measured. Why would Calzaghes oppononents be an exception?

Now lets see If I am understanding this correctly....I have it arse backwards because the JEFF LACY....REALLY, SERIOUSLY? I know real Boxing Fans who thought Lacy was a Legitimate Young "up n' coming" fighter...but "SUPERSTAR" are you ****ing kidding me? Have you ever seen Lacy's resume before Calzaghe? Hell, It's worst than Calzaghe's Resume before Lacy...LOL!!! But even though Lacy never amounted to anything. What stands out to me...is the fact the Lacy in his 22nd Pro fight went "Across the Pond" to fight a 40-0 Belt-Holder at the peak of his career. But when ask why Calzaghe did not do the same earlier in his career....OH, THAT'S JUST BLASPHEMY!!!!

I think your perspective is a bit off. Pavlik lost against Hopkins, who is a hall of famer and an all time great. And that should make Pavlik ... what? A bum? A nobody? Come on now ...

In reality, Pavlik is an excellent boxer with many great assets, but when you face the most talented and dedicated fighters of the planet you might look a bit silly every now and then. That does not mean that Pavlik "got exposed". Rather it shows how good his opponents where.

Welcome...you sound like a poster with common sense. If Calzaghe's fans thought like that...we would not be having this conversation!!!!

calzaghe beat hopkins sandwiched inbetween the best victories of hopkins career.

hopkins ducked calzaghe in 2002 despite being offered a career high payday.

46-0-0, there is no blueprint how to beat calzaghe and their never will be.

all roads will always lead to calzaghe.

quit your hate tranny queen and get over it

Hmm ... Yeah, maybe ... But it might not hurt if I explain to you how I think on this subject. Pavlik has bashed up 36 professional full time fighters and if you tell me that such an achievement is possible without the person in question beeing talented and dedicated I will have a hard time to believe you. It is not like I have studied the guys career in detail (I think he is pretty boring), but without ever have trying it out myself I would guess that picking up a world title is kind of difficult.

America HATES the fact that Calzaghe beat Hopkins and Jones, and also have to live with the fact that he beat all their top SMWs of his time, Lacy, Manfredo, Brewer, Mitchell, Sheika,

    agree.

did calzaghe eve fight in america at all?

he should have done it like khans doing it,got a american promter, got on hbo/showtime,fought some good names to build up to getting fights agiasnt their best.

frank warren keeps people at home and picks when the time is right for his fighters to face opposition when there weak or just throws them in with big challanges cuz he earns a crapload from it.

no, americans don't hate joe because he beat all of our great super middles  joe was a really good fighter but we can't stand fans of his, of any nationality, claiming he's an atg. yes joe went 46-0 but he fought nobodies for years. even his big wins at 168 are vs guys who won't sniff the hall of fame. then he beats hopkins and jones who had a combined age of 83 between them.
