As a Lucien Bute fan are you excited about his fight with Brian Mcgee?

Nope. Absolutely not. It's fair to call it an almost-meaningless fight.

However I'm opposed at saying there's a plethora of better opponents out there for him to fight.

Top 5 SMW is coming his way next summer. Until then, the smack talk can go on but means squat. He signed up to fight the best for **** sakes.

He could try and unify with Stieglitz. Jean-Paul Mendy. Sartison.... He could move up and take on Cloud, Campillo, Murat etc.. Hell he could take Allan Green on and that'd be better than Magee.... smh

opponents that would be better? loads of them.

    dirrell
    kessler
    green
    pavlik
    stiegltiz

then up at 175 there is cloud, dawson, cleverly

he has a lot of options. only a bute hater would say this is a good fight for bute to take.

    Google "Bute Stieglitz". :D

Refused the biggest money Interbox offered to any fighter in their history. :p

Mendy would get crushed. Doubt Sartison wants any piece of Bute - I'd be very surprised.

Nope. His body is not Pac's, Larouche said multiple times that Bute would never go up since it'd cause him to fail trying to come back down. Until he clears 168 or hits a wall, it's all SMW fights.

Honestly? Green, even after Johnson knocked him out? I think we've seen too much of Green already. :rofl

if brian fukin magee really is the best option then he should just wait for another opponent.

this is almost as bad as wlad signing for chisora.

what do you mean by unavailable? have team bute approached pavlik, dirrell and kessler? are you really saying that magee is a better opponent than them?

as for the 175 pounders, maybe a catchweight fight could be scheduled, maybe bute could approach them and see rather than take on magee.

wheres this whole "Magee is a bum" thing coming from?
Outside of the guys involved in the super 6,Magee is probably the next highest ranked super middle weight in the world.
The last guy to tbeat him was Froch and that was after being stopped in the 11th with the scorecards nearly tied.
His other 2 losses weere exceptionally close points decisions.
Hes European Champion. Give the guy some credit. Hes a legitimate top 10 fighter
