I don't put too much stock into compubox because it's subject to human error. It doesn't say anything about partially blocked shots, the power of the shots or things of that nature.

most times if a man has landed %50 of his punches or close he has won the fight

rare bot men can do it it be Fight of The Century with 2 guys landing %50

It's often better than 3 random people who know nothing about boxing scoring a fight who sometimes even have affiliations with promoters and have the potential to be bought.

    depends on the ref
u think thats bad you should see how much bull**** that ref let slide in the hollifield vs ruiz when he had hollifield hurt lol

jhon ruiz dropped to his knees and crawled between hollifields legs because hollifield wouldnt let him go

Caballero vs Litzau is a perfect example of how you can't go strictly off compubox. Cab outlanded litzau by a significant amount but his punches weren't seen as more effective.

if the main scoring criteria is clean effective punching, and compubox does not measure how clean or effective a landed punch was, then how is compubox a good tool to determine who won the fight? it isn't.

it can also be misleading when you outland someone by a decent amount in the rounds you win but you win less rounds total. a lot of people point to the compubox numbers while ignoring that they don't tell the whole story.

well usually compubox also counts the punches for each individual round so that's not really true in those cases.

that still ties in with overall effectiveness of your punches though. some people don't even bother to check the individual rounds, just look at the end result.

According to the punch stats Kelly Pavlik only landed 24% on Bronco McKart, but he landed 32% on Sergio Martinez. So, Martinez is easier to hit than McKart:patsch
