Hopkins didn't get robbed.. He May have deserved the nod but not a ROBBERY

people love to over exaggerate. yes he beat the doodoo out of pascal but still at the end of the day you have to obey the rules of boxing and bhop started off the fight in the first 2 rounds really down by 4 rounds. I think he won the fight but it wasn't a robbery at the most you could have only had hopkins winning by like 2 rounds which is still a close fight

 

If it was a fight which could have gone either way, then yes, you can't regard it as a robbery. But that wasn't the case, was it.

Even if you scored both of the KD rounds as 10-8 rounds for Pascal, Hopkins would overule that by going on to dominate at least 8 of the 12. After the 3rd round, Pascal was barely in it. He won one round at most. This leads to a scorecard of 114-112 in Hopkins' favour.

Just because it was a close fight, doesn't mean you can't regard it as an unfair decision. It was only those poxy knockdowns (bar the second one) which make it look closer than it actually was.

As crazy as that sounds - I agree.

My scorecard was 112-114 Hopkins. Not a robbery - but still believe he won the fight.

What ive grown to understand while ive been on these boards is that any decision that doesnt go Hopkins' way is a robbery.

I agree with this statement. I clearly saw Hopkins the winner, therefore it's a robbery.

the first Martinez vs Williams was a close fight in which I had Martinez winning, but I didn't start yelling robbery when they gave it to Paul because it could of gone either way.

This fight with Hopkins vs Pascal could not of gone either way, Hopkins should of got the win.

 

Hopkins beat Pascal but didn't win the fight. Do you know what I mean? He was clearly a better fighter and showed his class, but those two knockdowns were REALLY bad things for Hopkins. And IMO Pascal won some middlerounds also and that's why he saved his title. It wasn't a robbery. Without those knockdowns Hopkins would be a clear winner but U just must remember that.. There we those two knockdowns and some other rounds which you can score for Pascal. Many guys are speaking like it would have been 120-108 to hopkins without those knockdows. But that is not the truth!! Pascal won some other rounds also and I think draw was ok decision. Hopkins was way better but u must be more neutral and use your brains when you are scoring and talking about this fight.. I'm from Finland so this might be the reason why I'm feeling like I am only neutral person to score this fight?! But I have to say that there is no way that somebody could score that fight for Pascal.. That's for sure IMO..

114-115 to BHOP. Not a robbery at all. I could see how it has been given as a draw. I gave R1 and R3 as 10-8's because I don't think BHOp was winning them convincingly if at all.
I watched the American version and I think the commentators were pro-Hopkins and have influenced opinion.
