Neah ... Magee is ****ed. Brinkley has showed the maximum of what a guy at that lvl in perfect physically and mentally condition can achieve against Bute. Magee won't pass the 5th round.

The bolded part is the speculation.

The fact of the matter is that Bute has yet to face a real challenge, exuses or not. The onus is on the fighter and his team to make that happen.

I think it pains the Bute nuthuggers who shell out $49.95 to watch Bute eat a tomato can every time out.

I buy my canned tomatoes for $1.99 at Safeway. You tell me who is feeling the pain?

If he'd have faced Abraham, he would've beat him up worse than Froch did, and put him down. You would've said Abraham was a tomato can who'd been feasting on nobodies at 160 and whose best win was Miranda.
If he'd have beaten Stieglitz, you'd (rightfully) say Stieglitz is a tomato can who'd been dropped by both Andrade and Berrio.
Almost anybody he'd have faced, you'd denigrate that win and ask why he didn't face Miranda instead, or Curtis Stevens, or Allan Green. Or whoever you see as capable of standing up to Bute. Until he gets starched. And who you then reclassify as a tomato can.

Anyway, this whole thread is useless. Brian Mcgee (or Magee) doesn't exist. It's a fake name. Observe:

    When I was 17
I drank some very good beer
I drank some very good beer
    I purchased with a fake I.D.
    My name was Brian Mcgee.
I stayed up listening to Queen.

its only frustrating because the guy is so ****ing good and he could go up a few pounds where some big names are sitting around with belts....rather than feast on a guy that is average at best...just sends a message that people will come to see him fight and it doesnt matter against who... and people justify that because he packs arenas....well i feel cheated to pay and watch him fight a guy with ZERO chance

    only thing that matters!

oh, and Magee isn't very good. this is not what I was hoping for. sure he can't fight Ward and Froch right now, but to tell me there weren't better fighters willing to fight Bute is just almost impossible to believe.

I understand that, but a fight with someone like Serge Yennick or Karoly Balzsay would be more competitive/interesting fights, but then again I understand the high risk/low reward for those wins. Magee is a low risk/low reward fight and its basically a tune-up (again) but I'm ready for Bute to be involved in more competitive fights is all.

Blame it on their rankings. They're not top 15 IBF SMW. Magee is somewhat credible for a tune-up, he's #8. :?

very true, the moron thread starter accuses a site of getting his name wrong, when his name is brian magee.

i know brian personally and let me tell you, he has waited his entire life for this opportunity, he will not be unprepared, and he is not getting due credit here, he was one hell of an amateur and a big prospect when he first turned pro.

hes a bit chinny though, but why the **** shouldn't he get a chance? and dont call him an "assclown" you stupid ****, he is anything but, he is a dedicated pro whos put a hell of a lot into his career.

and Magee has already lost one dream opportunity in his career when the calzaghe fight fell through a few years back, he was so close and that was a fight he wanted badly, how many of you know that?

People are just frustrated over the high rankin Bute recive, without beating someone of note. At the moment Magee and Sartison are the best options for Bute.

Bute could have easily moved up and beat Pascal to win the undisputed LHW crown (I don't care about scheduling, they should have canceled the Brinkley fight), he can still move up and beat Cloud or Hopkins.

Those are much better fights then vs Magee and it's not like Bute is a small guy at 168.

I'm a big fan, have followed him since the start and I even share the same heritage/nationality...but i'm sick and tired of this BS.

His 2010 was a complete waste.

Never ever wanted to move up. Larouche got the point across a couple times.

He's at 168 until he either hits a wall or cleans up the division. I feel like I'm repeating myself, I must have said that in 2-3 different threads now.
