Freddie Pendleton and Sweet Pea mightn't.

Roger Mayweather would. He said Chavez hit much harder than Tszyu.

Roger didn't try to fight...he tried to survive, spoil.

Ask Sammy Fuentes who hits harder...

    So there you go.

You ask "wtf did Tszyu do to become a HoF" - unify a division. Something the great Julio Cesar Chavez never did in his storied career.

In Tszyu's 4th pro fight he fought former world champion Juan La Porte and didn't loose a round - 37-12 -0 when Julio was fighting Roberto Garcia 8-17-2.

Tszyu took a consistently high level of opponent throughout his career, I can only interpret your whole post as being but hurt Tszyu is going to the hall the same year as your hero.

Tszyu has the most perfect straight right there has ever been, for that reason he is the only fighter I favour in a P4P matchup with Joe Calzaghe.

According to one Aussie trainer's biography this is how Tszyu developed his timing and accuracy:

"In his early days as a professional Kostya would spar with opponents in an almost pitch black gym. Barely able to even sight his opponent in the most dim of lighting, Kostya would allow class fighters to throw the first punch, before he himself could react and counter-punch. The result of mastering this in-the-dark routine in training was the ease with which he could counter-punch the best of opponents, in the brightly lit rings of his world title fights, evident to any of those who saw Kostya fight."

There are dozens of myths such as this floating around about Tszyu's training such as the above and the number of push ups he would perform. All add to his legend IMHO.

He throws 3 coins head high and catches them all separately before they hit the ground.
