David is still developing, needs to fight different styles by the ton.

Bute keeps on defending, and defending that IBF belt until the S6 is over.

    Different schedules.

Andrade was a never-been-KD #3 rated bull in their first fight. #5 rated in their second one.

How high was Bika ranked when Ward fought him? Yeah, and Bute outboxed Bika for the most part where as Ward clearly lost 2-3 rounds without the cards showing it.

Ward's only big win is over Kessler. Let him dominate AA, go to war against Froch and then you can blast Bute for having a total **** resume... only Bute is next at that time. I think Ward will not be prepared for this world class, KO capable southpaw. The fight should be @ MSG.

    This debate is so schizophrenic.
A says: Bute doesn't fight anyone good at SMW.
B says: There isn't anyone good available at SMW.
A: He should go to LHW.
B: Should he vacate his belt?
A: Sure. A belt means nothing.
B: Who should he fight at LHW?
A: There's plenty of guys who have belts there.
B: But belts mean nothing. And those guys are ****. LHW is a weak division. Skillwise, those guys are lower than Brian Magee. They're only advantage is that they're bigger.
A: He should fight Arthur Abraham.
B: Despite his losses, he's still in the tournament. And he comes from 160. And he's ****.
A: He should fight someone good.
    B: Who?
A: There's so many guys. He's scared of all the Super6 guys. (actual comment read somewhere).
    B: Who's available in March?
A: Who's Brian Magee? Some schmuck who paid IBF to get into mandatory? Why is Bute ducking Jean-Paul Mendy or Stieglitz?
B: They got KTFOed by guys he beat easy.

    And so on...

West I think you are very wrong this time. Magee seams to be the best available opponent at 168. Bute can not be accused that he doesn't want to go up in weight, this in bull****. If the man is feeling fine at 168 let it be so ! If Hopkins is in a so good shape at 46 why not Bute could fight at the highest level till 40 ?

Take Bute out and insert any other fighter, and this post describes half the threads on ESB.

I've been against Bute v Green when i though they gonna pass over the 3rd group stage and another decent fighter will be out of the s6... but now thinking about It I would probably enjoyed Bute ko'ing Green. Looking at the other part of the story the con artist Green doesn't really deserves another big payday , the one who deserves a chance and a paycheck more is Magee.Look at the WBA & WBC rankings. The man has done something right to be that high.

Magee is being seriously underrated on this thread. I bet at least 80% of the people here have never even seen him fight.

Because Bute eats unhealthy Romanian food(sarmale, mici, preparate din carne de porc) and puts a lot of weight between fights.I'm guessing we'll see Bute fighting at his best until he'll reach the age of 36 , best case scenario.

I can also bet that 70% of the people here never attended a live fight.

"Tomato cans", "A,B,C, levels", "under and overrated" ...... this are words that don't have anything to do with boxing.

I'm impressed of that so strong opposition against Froch in 2006. He could win that fight if he wouldn't gassed out. He was all over Froch all night. The man can box :bbb
Now, Magee even more deserves mush respect for that fight when Froch is so high in everyone's rankings.

If Magee had a bit more pop in his punches he'd be a top fighter. He is as skilled as any of them but his chin isn't great. Bit like Bernard Dunne actually.

Magee put a LOT of pressure on Froch rounds 2 to 4. Such a quick starter might even destabilize Bute for a bit.

Watched Froch-Magee, thought Magee was a little one-dimensional. Comes forward with a timid jab, launches and throws hooks, clinches, retreats. Froch didn't go after him as often as he should have, post-explosions. I feel the man has trouble fighting off the backfoot, with very little ability to counter.

The jab he throws sometimes is a 'hopping' one. Bute dodges to the left, liver shot and it's over. Sorry Brian, but no superman jabs in this one or you're toast.
