"In December 1980, arguably the greatest sports film of all time was released. Thirty years on from the premiere of Raging Bull, 5 live sport celebrates Martin Scorsese's masterpiece. Scorsese tells the story behind the making of the film, while 'The Bronx Bull' Jake La Motta, whose career the film documents, reminisces with Mike Costello. Current fighter Paulie Malignaggi discusses the impact the film had on him, and the demise of Italian-American boxing culture."

This is a Five Live special - I'm not involved but Mike Costello, Barry Norman and Mark Chapman are.
Costello went to interview LaMotta in New York, Chappers did Martin Scorsese in London and Bobby DeNiro over the phone.
The Bunce Hour is back on Thursday on BBC London with a cast like Ben Hur! 20 people from the Fight Game will tell me their 2010 highlight.
    More to follow.

    Adios.

There's a clip of the DeNiro interview already up. DeNiro seems remarkably talkative for DeNiro. This should be a good listen. Thanks for the tip, Smoggy.

I hope that means it's mostly DeNiro talking.

I feel like I would get more intellectual stimulation listening to a load of bread than I do Mark Chapman - he's the worst kind of dumbed down, laddish, TalkSport like, presenter and I wish he wasn't on the BBC. This show could be amazing but he almost makes me not want to listen to it.

****, I sound like Nutjob finding something to moan about in every bit of good news. Where's that revolver...

 No, seriously, DeNiro actually talks -- & he almost NEVER talks -- quite openly. There's a trail on BBC Boxing.
