When Calzaghe beat Hopkins, the judge that scored 116-111 for Calzaghe was the widest score against Hopkins in his career.

After Calzaghe suffered a Kd in the first round, what a come back and show of dominance

I had Calzaghe winning that fight too, but I would not call it dominance on any level. Can't remember how I scored it off hand though.

I thought it was a clear, but close win for Joe C. Was it dominant? Sure, but only if you're a total home town fighter fanboy..

I can count on 2 hands how many clean punches calzaghie landed in the 1st 7 rounds. You may of had calzaghie winning but calzaghie and his dad knew they needed a KO in the last round to pull it out. Listen to their panic inbetween the 11th and 12th.

JC pulled out a close one. The Hopkins that fought last Saturday wrecks JC. He was intense and had a lot of energy. That A-side meth is a helluva drug!

I scored it for Hopkins. Thought he landed the better punches in more rounds. I can understand why some would've scored for Joe's workrate, I suppose it depends on what you value in your own scoring criteria. I prize clean, effective punches landed over and above everything else, so that's why Hopkins won this one for me. This fight was very similar to Kotelnik-Alexander in that regard: Alexander got the verdict and many people scored it for him based on workrate/activity, but the better quality work was produced by Kotelnik.

I lost a buttload of $ on that fight. Although JC's slappy arm punches annoyed me, B-Hop's whiney attitude annoyed me even more, especially after trash talking so much before the fight. It's like his mouth was writing checks that his body couldn't deliver. I knew he had it in him but to see him crying to the ref about low blows that weren't made me pretty furious.

You could count on one hand the amount Hopkins landed. Calzaghe did flap at times but he did also land more clean scoring shots and clearly outlanded Hopkins. Calzaghes trainer wanted to be sure that they got the win so was motivating his son, as he was fighting an American fighter in America with 3 American judges and Cortez as ref.
On the same note, look at the panic on Hopkins. If Hopkins thought he was winning, he wouldnt have been faking low blows etc to get points deducted off Calzaghe. So Hopkins must have known he was falling behind badly, because he didnt even try those stunts when being floored twice.
What the Hopkins that struggled with Pascal, who Froch beat. Froch who lost to Kessler that Calzaghe beat when he was undefeated and not suffering double vision
Calzaghe had much more energy. Hopkins is known for his strong finishes, but found himself the weaker man down the stretch due to Calzaghes ring tactics of manuvering Hopkins around the ring and dictating. Great skill in Calzaghe making Hopkins look awful
Blocky Jnr, The Stalker. Please dont flatter yourself, you have never had any times with me and never will. Contain yourself
Joe landed the better more scoring shots throughout, people remember Hopkins because they were few and far between. So many say Hopkins landed a good shot in round 7, and he did at the end, but lets not forget there was an illegal headbutt first, and Calzaghe had landed more cleaner shots throughout that round.

Still I wouldnt expect you to be too bias with a name like Popkins :patsch
Remember nobody has ever scored as wide against Hopkins as what Calzaghe did with that realistic score of 116 - 111.

    It really happend.... Hopkins lost

I had Hopkins just about winning in a close fight. Calzaghe didnt dominate by any stretch.
