as much as i would love to live in a world where there was 1 champion in each division or the lineal title was taken seriously, we don't. and to people outside the hardcore fan base of boxing the lineal belt has no meaning and both are equal champions.

It looks like Klitscko wants to get his final fight on his RTL deal out of the way to earn more money for Haye. klitscko has one fight left with them which was supposed to be Chisora.

 

Haye's nowhere near the heavyweight champion. Evander Holyfield genuinely has more of a claim than he does. He beat Valuev before Haye did but was robbed then Haye beat SNV. Ruiz aside, since then Haye fought Audley Harrison whilst Holyfield fought Francois Botha. Both pointless fights. He's lucky he's getting 50/50 for this fight he really is. If Wladimir was American, Haye would barely get 40% at best.

I couldn't care less about the politics side of this anyway. Just get the fight on and stop holding the sport of boxing hostage with greed and fraud.

 

Wladamir isn't american though. and that opinion is shared by 1% of people that will watch the fight so it really doesn't matter.

Also watch the Holyfield fight with no volume and tell me how you score it.

 

No he's not American which is why Haye's lucky that the current heavyweight number one isn't and isn't getting major worldwide recognition. If he was, Haye would have no leg to stand on in the negotiating of this fight.

I watched the Valuev-Holyfield fight twice. First time when it was live I fell asleep after round 1 then woke up at the end to see Niko given the decision. Holyfield didn't look particularly gutted about it so guessed it was your typical Valuev fight where he just about did enough to win with his size. I then watched it again after people claimed Holyfield was robbed and scored it something like 116-112 or 117-111 to Evander. Not sure about the volume but hardly thinks that matters to my scoring of a fight.

 

I think they should just negotiate where the winner gets a bigger share say 55-60% stop the bickering whoever backs up the talk gets more.

Haye has a version of the crown so will always have bargaining power even if the champion was from timbuktu.

 

I dont know why they dont just have a live show at the negotiating table with Frank Warren mediating I cant see how they couldnt thrash this out...ahem

All this REAL heavyweight champ talk is ridiculous, Wlad is the proven heavyweight but he's basically been playin basketball with midgets given the strength of opposition until now. Haye has unified a division and although Cruiserweight is not at the most competitive its ever been at least people fighting at that weight are well conditioned due to the fact they have to make weight and its dealing with a faster pace, yet his power was too much for most people he's faced.

Its a fight we all want to see and both parties must know how much they stand to make from such a fight, maybe all this stalling is so they can make a bit more by getting certain deals out of the way??

 

really dont see what the problem is, if it's the same deal that wlad offered before whats he done in that time that means he should change the terms of the deal?

it does. the commentary was massively bias towards Holyfield. Most journalists in attendance from the US scored it to Valuev. You can't watch a fight after everyone cried robbery and have a objective opinion same as the people who watch Hopkins vs Pascal fight after hearing the result trust me watch it without commentary and you will have at least a draw.

 

I watched Hops-Pascal with Polish commentary, didn't understand a word of it, and had Hopkins winning.
