Even Calzaghe fanatics must now admit him or Hopkins isn't even a debate anymore?

the way i see it. hopkins has left a greater legacy than joe did.

as for any h2h question, lets face it, it will always be a close fight that could always go either way, and with styles, there is always a chance that hopkins would give up atleast 6 rounds trying to suss him out.

You including yourself in that?:patsch

You debate about Bernard Hopkins as much as anyone else on this forum.

"Self-PWNED in front of a global audience of millions", or some garbage to that effect.

i think it is close. both will go down as greats. my real problem (as i said) is that people dissect calzaghe's resume but don't do the same to b-hop's (or anyone else really :huh). they have comparable resume's & achievements with different strength's & weaknesses...the main difference is people chat **** about cal;zaghe in a way they don't with b-hop.

anyone who says it is easily one or the other is chatting ****.

i certainly include you in that, its pretty obvious that you created this thread as your last chance to try and gain some some credability on this forum

you saw that nobody respects anything you say and you saw this thread as your last throw of the dice, a chance to draw a member of team elite into a debate and take one last chance to catipult yourself into esb superstardom.

well you tried, you took one last swing of it but when you saw the sheer quality of my main post in this thread it smashed your fraudulent jaw into a thousand pieces, you knew you were beaten, you were not capable of countering and you will forever be known as a quitter.

with regards to my initial post, soldier is the only hopkins man i've seen in my time on esb who is capable of going toe to toe with a member of team elite, the only one with the backbone to extend a member of team elite.

just like mind reader and jorodz are the only rojo's on the entire forum who are capable of winning respect from team elite.

i think its pretty obvious popkins that you shall forever be known as part of team 'sewer rat' and will continue to spend 74% of your day deepthroating shemales :dead

my time here is done, i'm gonna smash some other minnions thread and take them to school in a similarly brutal fashion.

HEADBANGER is someone I avoid in a debate because the mutual repsect I have for him. You can say I ducked HEADBANGER in a debate. Even though I may disagree with the man, he has a point when Hopkins fought alot of lower weight fighters, and it is difficult to argue against that since it is a fact.

People may disregard this as an opinion:-

But that is all facts which support his point of view. Respect is given to those who earn it, and unlike other people who argue for Calzaghe, HEADBANGER backed up the debate, and has proven to be difficult to exchange with. HEADBANGER's pwnage records speaks for it self.

All in all I agree to disagree, there is no shame in this.

Honestly, I think Calzaghe's is somewhere on the same level as Antonio Tarver as far as ATG status goes.
Sure he accomplished an a feat that people will remember, but the circumstances of the feat will ALLWAYS be suspect.
Tarver had the amazing feat of ruining Roy Jones, but people will allways question whether Roy was shot before or after the fight. Inspite of him accumulating a pretty stellar resume in the short time span of his career, especially considering he only started pro boxing at age 27.
Calzaghe will allways be doubted because of his lame resume. And his biggest accomplishments has asterisks all over them. Hopkins was old and way past-it, a prime Hopkins would have impregnated Joe. A prime RJJ would have blasted slappy onto the annoucers table.
Not to mention the more time goes by the Lacy and Kessler wins lose value. The lacy win is practically worthless now. Kessler is win in the bargain bin w/ the irregular socks and the Bette Midler Christmas albums.

I'm a Calzaghe fan but clearly Hopkins has the better body of work. I have absolutely no problem with Hopkins ranking far above Calzaghe on the ATG list.

But if we're talking ATG in a head-to-head/pound for pound sense, Calzaghe is clearly going to rank higher. Calzaghe would have been a tough night for any fighter in history around his weight, and imo would have/could have beaten all but the very best.
