The heavyweight world champion boxer David Haye, absent from the ceremony with flu, received the lowest number of votes, 7,538. http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2010/dec/19/tony-mccoy-bbc-sports-personality-award
I'm not too keen on Haye right now but I actually think he boycotted it. He said on Twitter "@AmirKingKhan & @Carl_Froch should both be up for S.P.O.T.Y tonight, my fights with Ruiz & Harrison cant touch their last performances." Who knows.
I care for next year's result though, below is what I wrote in the betting thread...... This content is protected
On skybet at the moment Haye is 7/2 to beat both Klitschko brothers, which is quite laughable, so in that sense it's a good bet. Phil Taylor is my tip for next year (for SPOTY, not to beat both Klitschkos)
Nobody.......nobody gives a **** that's why. Nobody but geeks, and nerds give a **** about sports personality of the year. Its a ****ing joke of a show, back when Linford Christie was winning it. Only then was this show, a real credible show. So shut the **** up, about the show. Its a ****ing con, and it is totally fixed. And even if it's not fixed, i still don't give a ****. Real sports fans, don't give a ****ing **** about the show. The only thing the show is good for, is giving "No Marks" some exposure and getting them on TV, like we give a ****. People need to seriously, get a grip of themselves and shut up about this.
