i know why some old timers turn - like Faure - they become completely institutionalised and start feeling more of a connection to the authorities than they're own kind - doesnt make it right.

still the terms use has got way out of hand - people dont know the severity of it.

and also even its use. shows like underbelly have completely misused the term so i'm going to clear it up once and for all on this here boxing site...

dog is a noun not a verb. you are a dog - you dont dog.

the verb for giving people up are as plentiful as the act itself eg - lag, tell, give up - as in "he'll lag" or "he'll tell" or "he'll give you up" not he'll dog.

underbelly series really ****ed the aussie crim lexicon - for an example of how crims and boob heads really talk check out blue murder - and i just watched cedar boys the other night and that rang true from my experience with leb crims and martin henderson nailed the aussie crim "ahhhh, you're a bad dog, arent you?"

im not that familar with using Dog in that term, more so im used to hearing it in a gym or at fights when someone says, he dogged it. Its also often used if a bloke has done something wrong to a mate behind his back, ie fcked another blokes missus then he will be called a Dog, maby thats the bush/country version.

All of the information that you supposedly gave to the police was information that you could have supplied after the event to support your position that you were acting in self defence. You did it beforehand so it would deter Zelky from coming to see you. And here you are now, hiding behind your keyboard ready to claim a victory if Zelky doesn't arrive. Very sad.

As for Elomar, if the version of the story is correct where he king hit Will whilst Will wasn't looking, he's a weak turd. If, however, the other version is closer to reality where they both exchanged words, Elomar fronted Will and put one on his chin, then it's more of a typical blue with neither one more to blame than the other. Whoever kicked Will whilst he was on the ground is a weak ****.

true. two blokes standing face to face argueing and one throws a punch - that punch is not a king hit.

the misuse of the term king hit almost annoys me as much as that of dog.

to be king hit you have to have no idea there is any possibility you're about to get hit. king hit = sneak go

JB, if the shoe was on the other foot and i had threatn someone on the ESB forums that i was coming to their house etc as Zelky has, u would be all over it like a rash and more so if i didnt show up after giving a specific time and day.

all misuses of the word. you can see how - as the worst insult known to a knockabout/crim - it has been taken to describe the things you've listed

i'm still astounded that briggs hasnt done a thing to green for his outburst after that farce uh er fight.

briggsy was a hardman and a crook - he must be completely broken or completely straight now, to not have backed up on green over that.

 

dont be so sure about that one m8, plenty of evidence to suggest he is indeed Nader. Dont forget he wanted to fight me but never reveals his name, he is also Johny Boy here but Travis Bickle on KT forums, he uses the Taxi Driver avatar and always defends people who Naders freinds with.

Its easy for him to get an alias and write what he likes without anyone putting sht on him, to say he has fans here is a fair statment but he also has just as many haters as he would fans due to his outbursts on the contender and the way he treated team mates, kicking the judge etc. He got alot of negative posts from people here.

 

i think briggs knew what he done was wrong, he was just lucky to get out of there alive with the condition he was in, this is not the same guy from 2005 - 2006, or the 18 year old tearaway teenager, hes settled down in life and has realised a few things, he def changed things in his life and maybe that book made him realise he was at peace witht he world?
his brother on the other hand still seems to be getting in trouble noone heard what happened with him?
