Hardly anybody is saying any of this. Pac is my favorite fighter (i'm a big *******), and yet I agree: -Mosley is to old and shot. Against Mayweather he was, and against Pac he is. He proved of course he can hit like a mule and hurt Mayweather for 1:30 of the 2nd. -Marquez is old, and doesn't need to fight above 140. At 140 this fight is OK, but nothing special. Floyd was to big for him, made him fatten up, and Mayweather cheated on the scales himself! This is why I don't give him much credit. Pac beat Marquez twice at his own weightclass. I'll give pac a *little* credit for beating Marquez at 140, but not much. -Berto is a bit green. I'd give him more credit beating Berto than the other 2, but people are going to criticize Pac. I think Pac destroys Berto though, and Mosley has a better shot (of KOing him and all). Mosley is the most danger of the 3 (even being old). Berto is the best boxing match. JMM would be the best brawl/ boxing match...Jmm is going to try to brawl, but Pac is going to box his ears off. I do take away from pac for fighting Margarito at 150. Honestly, the way he beats these guys I don't understand why he even makes a catchweight. Cotto was as legitimate as it could get though...He weighs 146 in a previous fight, and Pac wants 145, but again....He should have just let him weigh in at an extra 2 pds cuz he kills him no matter what Cotto weighs!
Pacquiao has postponed this fight long enough..... .....the longer he waits to fight Marquez, the less credit he will get if he should beat him.
I've always felt the weight will be a problem for Marquez. Pacquiao handled the move up almost seamlessly, I don't think Marquez will really be able to hurt Pacquiao and make him slightly tentative the way he did in some of the later rounds of Pac-JMM 2. He's going to be slowed down regardless.
You obviously still have your sanity intact which is great to see, the whole Floyd/Manny de-****ing-bacle and the circus which follows it's every thread is migraine inducingly tiresome. Glad you posted this and I'd really like to hear what your opinion on the matter is ..... Seriously, do you think Team Mayweather have a case with the accusations? ....... Do you think it will happen? ..... etc Please expand, I'td be refreshing to read the views of someone who seems level-headed, not asking or expecting anything definitive just interested.
Pacs simply in cruise control till floyd gets his life together. At this point there's really nothing a win against a guy like berto or bradley is gonna do for his legacy. Sure he'll score points with hard core boxing fans but not enough to risk a mega fight with floyd just to give a young pup a shot. As far as the world is concerned is legacy has been set for a while now. That said, I REALLY wanna see, berto, then bradley, and floyd if he ever wakes up from ****** land. But in the end I understand it's a business, Pac only has a few fights left, he wants to be involved in mega bouts that score huge ppv numbers and cash out big ass checks. Guys like berto are high risk low reward. The last thing pac needs now is a fight that does under 1mill ppv cause that will give floyd yet another door to duck out of. I'm not defending the shane fight, I want berto. But business is business and that's just how boxing is. Pac isn't the first to cash in on all his hard work towards the end of his career and he won't be the last. And if floyd never steps up we're all gonna get to see these fights anyway. Berto and bradley/alexander aren't going anywhere, their young, they are the future. He can take out mosley, then jmm, and their won't be anyone left at 147 that's "old news". We're gonna all get what we want, we just need to be patient. Pacs not the kind of guy who's gonna "retire" just when the heat starts to get hot. He said he's gonna fight 3 more years, plenty of time to clean house.
No matter when PAC beats JMM again he won't get the credit he got for beating him twice when JMM was at his natrual weight during his prime years. That ship has done sailed....
The weight may very well slow Marquez. Hopefully if the fight comes off at some point, it will take place at 140 lbs and not 147 lbs. ......but if it were to take place at 147 lbs, Marquez has the added experience of having fought a 147 pounder and coming in a little heavier than he probably should have. I believe that if Marquez fights Pacquiao at 147 lbs he's not going to baloon up to 147 lbs or 148 lbs on the night of the fight, as he did vs Mayweather. Marquez has already indicated he'd step into the ring at 145 lbs or less vs Pacquiao whether the fight be held at 140 lbs or 147 lbs. Those rocks he was lifting to get ready for Mayweather made Marquez too top heavy, and it effected his ability to get off. In any regards, it looks like eventually the Pacquiao will want to fight Marquez to get that thorn off his side. .....and who can really blame Pacquiao for stalling the 3rd installment, as its to his benefit being the younger man to postpone this fight as much as he can and let Marquez get older. Marquez probably did himself a disservice by looking razor sharp and accurate vs Katsidis......that it probably dissauded Pac and Roach to take the easier Mosley fight first.
Being an enlightened fightfan, I guess you think Pac-Mosley is as legit as Mosley Mayweather right? :hi:
Nice try at twisting it, just to make it clear... Mosley going into the Mayweather fight was P4P#3, a title holder at 147 and was considered the man in that weight division after blowing away Margarito in his last fight. Mosley going into the Pacquiao fight isn't rated in the P4P list, has no title, is ranked 5th at welterweight and last won 3 fights ago and over 2 years previous when this fight happens. It's not even comparable.
quit bitching, pac should just fight marquez already if its that easy for him. you guys are like the joy boys, already claiming pac won before the fight has even taken place.:-(
