Mayorga looked pretty decent against Walker. If he can actually get himself into shape it could be an entertaining fight.

 

Mayorga doesn't have the punch resistance he used to IMO. He'll give Cotto a good fight for the first half of the fight before he gets knocked out. I see Cotto ending Mayorga's night with a body shot.

 

In shape mayorga gets stopped inside 10. Outta shape inside of 6-7. Easy nights work for cotto

 

easy fight for cotto but could be a dangerous one depending what mayorga we get.

i can actually see Mayorga taking this. IMO, Cotto cuts way to easy, and once he see's his own blood he runs on his bike. I don't think he can KO Mayorga, he couldn't KO Yuri, Yuri's knee lost him that fight.

Cotto is a warrior that inspires a huge fan base, but that doesn't make him a winner. And the Puncher always has the chance. Look at Kahn-Madianna, Kahn out boxed him, but almost went to sleep in Rd10.

Cotto will have to, and can, win it on points. But I give the puncher in Mayorga a good chance. 50/50

 

Mayorga vs Margarito would be a much better fight

 

I'd pay to see that with a decent undercard of course.

 

Cotto is vulnerable enough defensively for Mayorga to get to him.

 

Margarito is one guy I think Mayorga will do minimum trash talking with.
