    No.

You asked what he did to be in the HoF - Mocked his accomplishments and made him out to be a bum.

There has to be some middle ground somewhere, and yet all you do is make yourself look a royal dick.

If you watch some of Zoo's old amateur fights, especially the one against Forrest, you can see the skill this guy possessed.

Those don't count. The amateurs don't matter. Tszyu was stiff and robotic and don't you forget it.

seriously why do people always bring up tszyu's amateur accomplishments when discussing him, yeah he was a great amateur but so were de la hoya, floyd, jones etc etc but no one evr brings up their amateur experience.

I do. I always take into account what amazing fighters they were as amateurs. De La Hoya's amateur record is one of the most insane things that I've seen. And watching Jones in Seoul 88 is a thing of beauty. And part of it could be because Tszyu was an amateur for so long because of his being from the Soviet Union.

I was being sarcastic, exaggerating what some people on here say. I love amateur boxing, prefer it to the pros actually.

    Got ya.

I heard someone say that Zoo's trainer coached a lot of the stuff he learned as amateur out of him and tried to turn him into more of a power guy as a pro, dont know how much truth there is in that.

Wouldn't surprise me. Not a huge fan of Johnny Lewis really. Not at all.

Jones Jnr 121-13 - Silver Medalist (GOLD!)
    DLH - 233-5 - Gold medalist olympics
    Tszyu - 271-11 World Champion 1991

Pretty impressive accomplishments by all three backed up by stellar pro careers.

De La Hoya's record is especially insane when you take into account the area he grew up fighting in. It's unreal.

He took Jeff Fenech to 3 different weigh class titles and the HoF first ballot, Tszyu to the HoF first ballot, Jeff Harding to a world cruiser title. Not bad for a guy from Sydney in a country with a miniscule boxing fanbase.

    It's spectacular.

Tszyu's is noteworthy because the bulk of those losses came when he was 15-17 years old fighting 30 year olds in high level Amatuer comps.
