    Pavlik has no fights scheduled, and even if he is drunk from drinking beer, he is still better than Brian Magee. Pavlik would certainly say yes to another big payday and title shot vs Bute.

    Pavlik would lose to Bute, but it would at least be a credible, sellable fight. I would actually watch the fight. Or would you rather see Bute vs Brinkley 2 ?

    Bute has signed with Showtime, but he is fighting Brian Magee, and is 31 years old so he can't say he's too inexperienced to fight the best. Why not fight Pavlik, who has already fought above MW twice? Even Bika 2 or Andrade 3 would be better than Magee. How can you defend the Bute-Magee fight by just saying he signed with Showtime? Look at who he's actually fighting, not the stupid piece of paper.

    Carl Moretti (V.P. Top Rank) was in Montreal on radio and he confirmed that Pavlik wasn't available.

    Showtime didn't really want to see Bika again because he fights ugly and Magee was the last resort solution for Showtime & Bute since all the rest refused to fight.

    Andrade III is ridiculous.... Librado most likely will fight at 175lbs now anyways.

    But you were making it sound like the Pavlik fight is about to happen and Bute is not taking the fight. I agree is a better fight but Bute - Pavlik had fail twice as I remember

    I'm disappointed to see Magee myself but most people don't know that he's still decently ranked in most organizations :

    IBF = #8
    WBA = #1
    WBC = #2

    He is a very skilled fighter but I would favour Froch , Kessler, Ward Dirrell all to smoke him....comon how can you have this guy ahead of Froch in the SMW ranking hes been KOD by Andrade unofficially...ROFL

    You know nothing, so shut up. Pavlik is in desintox. Bute is waiting for him since last year, in vain. Pavlik is the one not facing Bute, not the other way around.

    You are not even able to have one single valid point, you're a pathetic hater.

    Bute has signed with Showtime, who won't pay him 2 millions per fight for nothing. They don't have any other good choice for March because Dirrell and Kessler are still out. I prefer Magee to Mendy or Bika (already beat him). At least, he will face a southpaw.

    That's called a stay busy fight. You do that when no better option is available.

    I won't go to that fight, because it's not worth my money, but this fight happening does not make Bute a ducker because there is no one to duck! Duh!

    Pavlik is out of boxing and even his trainer is wondering if he will ever fight again. He is NOT available. Neither is Dirrell, Kessler or Abraham.
