Manny Pacquiao fights on May 7th
Amir Khan fights on April 9th/16th

How will this work? There's about a 3-4 week gap difference between each fight.

I don't see how Roach will leave Khan in his final week of prep, not to mention he'll need his conditioner, Alex Ariza there.

This is a potentially disastrous situation.

Manny will be in his last few weeks of crucial prep.

Does this mean we could be seeing Manny in the UK for a week? And I suppose all the Sparring partners will be here.

How are they going to do this? :huh

Some trainers juggle lots of fighters. If Khan and Pac train side by side their shouldnt be too much of an issue. I expect Roach in Amirs corner.

A thread that gets you thinking, I like it. Youd think that Pacman should come to England and do some preparation here if Khan does fight in the UK as Khan flew to the Philipines before his last fight if i remember right. However, with Pacman the P2P champion I can see the arrangements being made to suit him and Khan will work around him. It will result in khan fighting a less dangerous opponent which could be dangerous and if Pacman comes to England then it will mean he is fully focused again and can forget about his governemnt role.

That doesn't really explain if Pacquiao and all the sparring partner's will come to the UK though.

That's what I'm curious about. Who will Roach put first?

I think it'll be done to fit around Manny. Khan doesn't need to explicitly train in the Uk, he'll probably fly here aweek before the bout to climatise.

Yeah, but knowing Pacquiao, who knows. I'm not sure if he'll like the move, although I'd love it if he did. Would give me a chance to see the man in person.

Really anxious to know how this'll work.

I understand that, but Roach isn't going to leave Manny in the U.S for a week. He needs his conditioner and his trainer there, especially when you have 3 weeks of final prep to go.

He should put Khan first because I dont think he was overly pleased with the Maidana fight in the way that Khan allowed it to turn into a bit of a slugfest, you could see it on his face afterwards. Mosley was a quality fighter, but watchin the Mayweather fight he started to look like an old fighter so Pacman will run circles around him. You would have thought that they would have always made sure that Pacman fought before Khan.

Yes, but there is absolutely NO way in the world that Roach and Ariza will leave Pacquiao with 3 weeks to go. It just won't happen, ever.

This probably will have been covered before Khan agreed to a fight date. They'll sort something out.

A tad bit, yes, but it could be if Pacquiao doesn't want to come to the UK.

I think ull get ure wish and Pacman will cum to England or they will have to switch the Khan fight to the USA and get him fighting over here after that. Cud allow him to fight Judah in USA then an English fighter who has done sumthin early in the year such as Murray or Brook in the MEN. Its a problem that should not have come about.

Hopefully he will. Don't want to see Khan in the U.S again so soon.
