This is a better mix of fighters than when it was guys like Mormeck, Banks, and Dimitrenko even though Rossy isn't on their level. Whoever wins this will be a worthy contender since there are 3 top 10 fighters in there. There are a few problems though, Wlad has already beaten Chambers and Peter and no one really thinks much will change if they meet again and I don't think Adamek goes through with this. He can keep beating up guys like Maddalone and wait until he gets his shot. Its a good tournament but it would have been better if it were for Haye's belt instead of Wlads.

Peter fought Klitschkos 3 times and he doesn't want to fight any of them anymore. Fans don't want to see it either.
Chambers thought Wlad and he couldn't do anything in this fight.
Rossy is one class under those two. He lost to Chambers before, he got KO'd by Dimitrienko.

If Adamek doesn't win that eliminator, we're gonna have another match up that nobody cares about....

Why doesn't Adamek ask the WBO for a title eliminator shot. Sounds like a quicker way to a mandatory shot at Wlad than going the IBF route.

Somebody just give Adamek a title opportunity already (or Adamek should take what is offered if there has been some offer). Adamek's not getting younger (and likely not getting too much better) and as has been pointed out this tourney makes little sense in that the other two fighters who have a shot (chambers, and peter--who has a lesser chance to win) have already proven that them fighting wlad is futile. Time for Adamek to have a go with Haye or get smoked by a Klitchko. He has no chance with a klit but does with haye. Adamek has done enough in this **** division to get a fair shot

Roger Bloodworth believes Adamek is still not ready for Klitschkos. He says they still have some work to do. That's why Adamek is gonna take part in eliminator. Klitschko already offered him a fight and Adamek rejected that proposal.

moreso i think he's aiming to be the ibf mandatory as well as leverage for a bigger payday vs Wladmir (being ibf/wbo mandatory) OR he'd prefer to face Vitali when available.

Peter will be a tough fight for Adamek although I favor him BUT Chambers is all kinds of bad news for Tomasz, I think Eddie will outspeed Adamek and not sure that Tomasz could put him on his ass either.

Again I'd rather see Adamek-Haye or go for it all against a Klitschko this summer.

Adamek should stop trying to improve. None of these fights against Peter or Chambers or whoever will increase his odds against Vitali or Wlad.

He should just get in the ring and take his chance. Maybe he gets lucky. Stranger things have happened.

If Adamek takes part in this tournament, which I don't think he will, then you got to love him. All he has to do is stay busy in Poland this spring against someone like Sosnowski and wait for Vitali to beat Solis. Come this summer we get Vitali-Adamek probably in NYC. Adamek will get a shot at a Klitschko sometime this year.

Instead he could gamble it all in a tournament he probably won't be favored to win. It would make for good fights, a worthy contender, and the fans win but Adamek is risking a big payday and oppurtunity. I guess if he loses he could try to reposition himself as a Klitschko opponent by beating another contender or two but he's not getting younger and he's a hot contender right now. Huge credit to Adamek if he does go through with this tournament instead of staying busy against C-level heavyweights until his shot comes along.

He was offered $1 mil to face Wlad after Haye pulled out - on 2 week notice. Adamek said that he wants to be a real HW champion and not just collect a big payday. This was like after 3 fights at heavy. Now he is after 5 bouts, more confident with his weight.

Adamek will win this tournament, and will be more honed and sharp for the titleshot that waits him on the other side.

Fair enough. Guess it's possible that Adamek could improve his chances with added time building muscle, skill, and confidence with more hw fights, but it's hard not to believe they're just prolonging the inevitable and are not improving their chances. However, Adamek has done some good things at HW thus far, so maybe they can keep progressing (tho I really think the Grant fight was very troubling for adamek's title prospects). Love to see Adamek in with Povetkin to separate the two reluctant prospects
