Juan Manuel Marquez's Combination Punching

He is one of my favorite fighters of all time. I love to watch him work. Great post, TS.

 

I really love marquez, that type of ability I wonder who is going to take the lightweight title from him other than father time?

 

A fantastic composite puncher, he has it all in terms of form and combinations. Like Ricardo Lopez with bollocks.

 

His uppercuts off the lead left hand are my favourite punch of his.

Its a testament to his trainer. Went against typical Mexican stylists and developed his fighters to box and throw combinations and be more well rounded fighters. You see a lot of Ricardo Lopez in Marquez wtih those fluid combos.

 

Nah, there had been complete textbook fighters from Mexico for many, many years before Marquez ever threw a combination.Marquez style is nothing new, though he brings his own take on an already established template of course.

 

One of my fav fighters but not my top favs(Hagler/Hopkins/Mosley), but he's in my second tier(Rafael Marquez,Toney,JMM). Great video and JMM throws arguably the best combinations of this time.

 

The combo he caught Medina with is the best I've ever seen, **** knows how he got up from it.
