That's laughable man... I'm not a Tarver fan at all but the guy has a tremendous beard. What Joe would throw a power slap in the 3rd and knock Tarver out when guys like Dawson, Johnson, Harding who have decent power couldn't? atsch

 

calzaghe never really fought any southpaws at all. not to mention tarver's a tall, defensive southpaw. this is a pick 'em fight imo. not sure if joe's activity would get through antonio's defense.

 

Yeah but I dont know how they made it close with Rocky going down 4 times in the entire fight. Even 20 years retired Rocky beats Joe's B-hop and Jones. In the same night.

I dont even care to argue the point when Jones was more shot. Does it matter? Jones was s h o t when he faught Calzaghe. The win means nothing. Joe even said so in his book....you know 3 years before he fought him. Why would you put any kind of value on that win?

Remember this prime Tarver was beaten by Harding , beaten by double figure losses G Johnson, beaten by the worse drained version of Jones Jnr ever and beaten by Hopkins, who guess what.... Calzaghe beat, along with Jones .

The key to knowing what a great fighter Calzaghe was is that so many like yourself cant accept he beat American legends Hopkins and Jones along with Brewer, Mitchell, Lacy, Sheika, Manfredo etc.
Tarvers losses to Dawson look worse than ever now.

Tarver was beaten by gatekeepers like Johnson and Harding. Calzaghe was never beaten.

America has to accept it and learn to live with the fact that Calzaghe beat Hopkins and Jones. Move on.

Who did Tarver ever beat? He lost to Harding, double figure losses Johnson, the worst Jones, Hopkins and the losses to Dawson now looks worse than ever.

As for prime fighters Calzaghe beat, the list goes on
Kessler, Lacy, Veit, Bika, Reid, Woodhall, Brewer, Mitchell etc to name a few. I could make sensible arguements about Jones and Hopkins that would blow you out the water.
