Bull**** like this is what's wrong with Australian boxing mate:

In one corner we've got a 36 year old who's been KO'ed in 4 of his 7 bouts!

In the other corner a guy with a total of 7 minutes ring time, who's beaten two clowns most of ESB could beat!

...and Boxa have this below-circus-level bout listed as PPV - OMFG!!

 

i dont usually write emails of this nature but when i read that this fight was going to be on main event i emailed them airing my disappointment. This is the reply i received from Main Event.
"The price for FOXTEL and Optus is $39.95 and Austar is $49.95. Pricing for each Pay-Per-View Event is determined by your subscription television operator. SBW has a genuine interest in professional boxing and we fully support his event."

 

Thanks for clearing that up Spatchcock, and my sincere apologies to BOXA.

Your not quite as a big a thieves as I thought you were - but there's only a marginal difference!

If the entry tickets are also marked down, the undercard fighters will have to sell more tickets than they usually do, for a less attractive card than usual (some might say just) in order to get 'paid'.

 

Brave move from Main Event.....I can't see many boxing fans buying this.

Maybe Main Event are hoping for the NRL/ union cross over fans.

If this card gets good numbers we will know that the cross over fans like the celebrity entertainment value more than high level professional boxing.

It sucks on a few different levels.

One, because of the obvious rip off being a nobody in boxing being maine event on PPV.

But also because I don't mind SBW, but being a part of idiocy like this takes a bit away from him. And if it will continue, it will end up just like Mandy in that even many of his serious fans will walk away as time goes on.

 

They did this when he walked out on the Bulldogs...
