Foolish Newbie :patsch. You might learn.
Calzaghe beat Hopkins sandwiched between Hopkins best wins of Tarver, Wright and Pavlik at a new weight, in America, with 3 American judges and Cortez as ref.

Accept Calzaghe beat Hopkins and Jones. Live with it, it happend

Calz struggled with guys like David Starie, Robin Reid, Kabary Salem, Sakio Bika, etc., etc.

The best version of both fighters ... then Tarver .. wins without question or any doubt.

Somewhere there is a German boxing site where all the noob kids rave about Sven Ottke. Here we have Calz' kids ...

Not on this forum you wont, its full of Calzaghe haters that would sell their kids to see Calzaghe lose.

For the record - Calzaghe beats the shite out of Tarver & you know it !

You have to land punches to win fights.

you have to throw punches to win fights

and when tarver finds himself under barrage after barrage of calzaghe punches that is something he wont be doing

Prime Tarver, who beat RJJ, would give Joe C a tough fight, especially at 175 which is where it would have taken place. Tarver is terribly underrated for the most part here. He is very well schooled with his long amatuer career. And his jab alone would cause some problems for Joe C. Tarver's jab makes Kessler's jab look like Mosley's jab.

I could see a Joe C UD, but unlike the Brit fanboys, it wouldn't be 'easy'...

anytime tarver gets into a fight, which calzaghe would get him into, he just goes into a shell and joe wouldnt let him out of it. besides tarver always looks for a round to take off and joe doesnt, and u give joe one round to find his rhythm and its over

    kinda like pacquiao atm

u think bernard beat him bad with a low work rate

    calzaghe would batter him

I was referring to the Hopkins fight.

Calzaghe's slaps are a completely unproven tactic at lightheavy. He decisioned the ghost of Roy Jones while everyone else was knocking him out and managed to miss everything he threw against Hopkins. He also got put on the canvas twice against both of them, both of which haven't been known as punchers for a long time.

He is completely unproven at lightheavy.

Did he ever beat anyone worth mentioning by "early stoppage"?

(Won't be surprised if someone quotes this with Peter Manfredo Jr.)

everyone misses everything they throw against hopkins

who ever looked good beating hopkins

the slaps are only due to his ****ed up hands

the man cant hardly punch and still spend a good 7 years whooping ass and sheer talent skill and determination without a decent punch left in him

no way he stops tarver early, but no way tarver beats him either

Calzaghe never stopped anybody by real stoppage when he had good hands, he isn't stopping Tarver.

You take Warren referee's out of the equation and he wouldn't have even been getting T.K.O's against cans.
