    That was a rare peak.

To beat him, you have to stop him. That's my opinion. So you can lift out basically anyone without the punching power to beat him straight up for me. He couldn't be out-pointed and that's how I see it.

Frazier's performance against Foreman means he's always going to come up short against punchers in these type of fantasy picks, but I see Frazier as a much lesser fighter post-peak than fighters of another style, because that top 1% is so much more important for a fighter that swarms and presses, be it in terms of attitude, training or physical equipment (especially engine), but Frazier does look stupid boring into Foreman over and again and that's fair to point out. If you could hurt him very badly he's there for the taking in this regard.

I won't name names, because you'd be here all night on this forum with just one of these fantasy fights, never mind in a thread where you lay out twenty, but i'd pick him 100% of the time against boxers, but much more cautionsly against the serious punchers. If you're cute, forget it, he drags it out of those poor *******s 10 times out of 10.

One thing - Frazier showed me he only had one war in him if he's in possession of the title. I consider him superior to Marciano at his best, but he could never do what Marciano did for this reason. Frazier is the superior machine, but Marciano could not be killed.

    My 2 cents...
Frazier/Louis: If Frazier gets past round seven he has a shot.
Frazier/Cooney: Cooney would hurt him early, maybe floor him. But intense pressure and pace unravels Cooney by round 5.
Frazier/Spinks: Spinks is KO'd in four.
Frazier/Walcott: Never ever considered this fight before. Walcott has success early, but is eventually drawn into the gutter to fight. Frazier Decision.
Frazier/Charles: As great as Charles is, he is stopped in round ten against the best Frazier.
Frazier/Lyle: Frazier endures being hurt early once again, in some hellacious opening rounds. Frazier comes off the floor, and breaks Lyle mentally then physically. Lyle has nothing left after seven rounds and is KO'd in eight in the best fight ever.
Frazier/Young: Against the peak Frazier, Jimmy Young is stopped in round 11. Young fights strictly for survival.
Frazier/Holyfield: A war. Frazier by decision.
Frazier/Tyson: Tough to really call. If Frazier can last past round five, he stops Tyson. If it is stopped early, it is likely Tyson wins by KO.

    Joe Louis would beat him.
    Marciano and him 50/50.
The others, I'd favour Frazier, to varying degrees.

  10. i agree

with Holmes that would be a fight that would go either way IMO. Holmes had greater punching power then Ali but lacked the speed and movement of Ali. he also had a very good uppercut but I'm pretty sure I'd edge it for Frazier by close decision..

I'd rate them about the same. In fact, I'd say Ali probably had more pop when he was on top form.

seriously? I'm sure about that. seemed like Holmes got more leverage and weight behind his shots. Ali sometimes arm-punched. I would say Holmes had more snap in his jab. besides power it's all Ali IMO.

  15. Yes, i would say that holmes was lightly harder puncher but ali had better pack
