Is Haye a proven HW? I dont think he is personally, as he's never been in with a live body at HW.

I get the impression many seem to dismiss other fring contenders like like Adamek, Arreola, Povetkin, Solis, Chambers, Peter, as though Haye has proven to be above their level, that he's nearer the Klitschko's level, thus meaning he doesn't really have to address any of them, only I dont buy that, as Haye still hasn't fought a live body at HW imo. Haye's chin is still a question mark, only because he has been fighting guys who were considered slow, shot, or not very good(Harrison), its not been put to the test.

He had chin and stamina issues at cruiser, that isn't going to get better at heavy.

He is unproven at heavy and has managed to talk himself above all of the other contenders. the fact that he won't make a decent run against this abysmal era's opposition says a lot about him as a heavyweight.

He survived twelve rounds with the top heavyweight. That's proof.

Of course he's proven. He beat one of the main champions in Valuev, who is obviously nothing special but still a big ****er to beat - and not many have.

Correction: Not one of the main, THE MAIN. The linear people's champion.

Correction: He's everything special in every way which is totally obvious to anyone who knows **** about boxing.

    Correction: Exactly none have decisively.

He proved he can fight at HW but has not accomplished much thus far.

Of course Haye is a proven HW, just not a proven Heavyweight Champion.

Compare Holyfields level of opposition after he moved up and it's laughable.

Much more accomplished cruiser to add to insult.

Far, far, far past his prime, yes. But still the top heavyweight? Absolutely.

He sure is. Having an easy night with Barrett is a good start. Beating Valuev is a very fine win even though stylistically Haye was all wrong for him and yes, shot Holyfield beat him before. Nevertheless a good win.
Ruiz, again a stylistic nightmare for being Haye's opponent, is another good (neither bad nor great, simply good) win on his resume.
So yeah, Haye is a perfectly proven HW and a respectable champ in terms of skills but if you allow me to rephrase your initial question: Is Haye proven against hard hitting sub-35yo heavies who can be considered somewhat fast? Haye would beat any version of Ruiz or Valuev because flatfooted, slow and featherfisted fighters are no threat to him and his Roy Jones-style. I'd love to see him in the ring with Peter, Arreola and especially Povetkin who is technically more sound than the aforementioned fighters. Arreola would probably not be able to catch him but I'm dying to see Haye absorb a real heavyweight power punch from dudes like Peter or Povetkin who I consider capable of catching him with a significant shot.

None have at all. There's a reason his so-called 'losses' on his record are majority and split decisions. Robberies by those with the power to pull such stunts. You'd think they'd sit back and admire such a great pugilist specialist, rather than do everything in their power to break up such a period of dominance.
