So Bute completely shuts the door on one unification fight because of another unification fight that was likely less negotiated than a fight with Sartison was last week.

1- Froch's team didn't have confidence in them beating Bute or else an eliminator fight would have been made between Froch & Bute in Spring 2007 instead of Bute-Bika. That was the fight the IBF organization was demanding. Bute wanted it but Froch said no. (Fact) Like I previously said, Froch waited an entire extra year before getting another crack at a belt...Who does that when they're so confident of winning ???

2- After, Bute and Froch were negociating for a fight in September 2009 which would be before the Super 6 tournament but Bute wanted to clear the Andrade fiasco ASAP before being called a ducker about it... The Andrade rematch was initially planned for September or early October 2009, then events and HBO pushed it to November. The choice was between clearing his name or moving on to fight another guy. He opted for clearing his name first. (Fact)

 

some guys here are being too hard on Magee. Hes ranked in the top 10 by 3 of the governing bodies. He had the offer to fight Stieglitz as well as the Bute fight. What do people expect him to say? No?
