His win vs Maidana was a great performance and im definitely a fan of the guy, but he easily overestimates himself and his abilities.
He also appears to be more of a talk person then one who just fights them.
Comparing himself to mayweather at this point is ludacris, floyd is right when he says that boy needs to get some experience.
Also him claiming to unify next year beat mayweather and retire at 28, good goal but he talks way too much about this stuff, when you hear him talk and you didnt know the guy he sounds like a hall of famer that is making up his final plans, yet this kid is just getting started.
Also his comment about ko´ing prescott in 3, instead of saying that just do it.

I agree with prescott when he says: A true champion doesn't talk about what he would have done. He gets in the ring and does it."
When you lose like he did against me, people will always have their doubts about you. The only way to erase those doubts is to fight me again and try to remove them. Another great British champion of the modern era was Lennox Lewis and he avenged his defeats to Oliver McCall and Hasim Rahman by getting in the ring and stopping them both. That's what made him such a great champion... the only thing is: You're not Lennox and you'll never beat me."

Amir has great potential but I hope he stays humble and does his talking in the ring instead of becoming undisputed at twitter.
Just whoop this prescott, unify vs bradley/alexander and let other people rate your legacy and ranking, instead of telling it yourself.

Boxing has always had its fair share of 'highly confident to the point of being arrogant' fighters. I like that quality in a boxer unless it reaches Floyd Mayweather levels. Without all these differing personalities the sport wouldn't be as exciting. Imagine if everyone was like Ward before a match. :tired

I think you need accomplish things before you can talk big, that was the reason why people in the uk though he was annoying little wanker and they were all happy when he got ktfo. Now that he acts more mature and humble a lot of epople ar4e warming up to him and his boxing abilities seem good too, he seems more focused. But since the maidana win a lot of interviews and statements pop up where he is his old self again or atleast seems that way. I dont want him to become another mayweather, confidence is good arrogance is a bad thing for the guy.

While I'm not overly impressed with Khan, I find NOTHING at all wrong with him overestimating his abilities, provided he trains hard and tries to improve.

He thinks he can beat Mayweather? Good. I don't want some world champ to be in awe of another and to concede that he's inferior. He's supposed to think he's the best.

I have mixed feelings about whether or not I want to see a Prescott-Khan rematch. While it's usually nice to see a fighter, preferably a champion, rematch someone who's beat him, it's not like Prescott has done **** lately to earn a title shot.

Amir is young , not very intelligent and his team is pretty unprofessional , so what would you expect?

Khan still has a lot of questions to answer, lets get it straight , he had a good win against a dangerous puncher , but really this is just a mandatory fight and should not have been that exciting.

Khan is a long way from Mayweather , I still have questions on whether he can compete with best in his own division.

I'm a fan too, but sometimes I feel he'll need another knockout to keep him and his ego in check; he's shown he can comeback stronger, but 2 major KOs could be devastating. It's early days from the win, but I don't want this hot air to escalate; to be a real champion, it's good to learn humility, something else he could borrow from Pac. He's still just young and bullish, which accompany a tough fighting mentality, but he needs to shut up and stop trying to emulate the big talkers - it's frustrating as I think he'd have way more fan support if he didn't put people off when he opens his mouth.

To be fair to him, he wont be the first fighter to overstate his abilities, look at Froch, Froch has been doing it even before he beat Jermain Taylor.

You guys don't understand. It's ok for other boxers to show confidence in their abilities, but not Khan. Nope. Anything he says, is a sign of shameful arrogance. If he says he will unify the 140 division, the little **** needs to be put back into his place. How ****ing dare he.

Seriously? Im saying it would suit Amir better in a lot of ways if he stays humble and mature like he was a while back. there is little point is acting tough and overestimating on twitter.

Why does Amir get the hate for doing what so many others before him have done?

Naseem Hamed was x100 this arrogant

Mind you he was hilarious with it, Khan isnt

    Of course not, dude.

Amir isn't arrogant at all. He's just a young, talented lad that's confident in himself. The only thing he's guilty of, perhaps, is being a little dumb. That's all.

Tell you what, pop onto YouTube, and have a look at his recent interview with Ringside if you want to him act more humble. He talks about the Maidana fight. You'll find there's a huge difference between reading his interviews on a site where statements are taken out of context, and actually watching them.

Look the guy just wants it bad! he's really determined. And talking helps sell fights and make match ups. He talked the talk V Maidana and backed it up by taking some full blooded shots.
