Wlad is a good bet at those prices already.

A Haye tko at 3/1 is not a bad price. This fight will not last the distance, haye will win by stoppage.

hopefully Wlad knocks his head off....

I'm just not a fan of Haye's personality and still not convinced he is the best thing about heavyweight boxing today...

Edit: having said all that, Haye does have a rasonably good chance. He's a power puncher (when he decides to throw) and wlad has been put down before. I rate it a 60-40 fight in favour of Wlad...

haye might be getting vlad at the right time, anyone see the public sparring sessions earlier this month, chisora looked fantastic and vlad looked awful i thought, literally sixty minutes later the fight was off, i think vlad is carrying some wear and tear and if ye gonna get beat, get beat for more money.

Wlad early on. I think he will hurt Haye very early, and be surprised just how easily it happened, then become more ruthless finishing him inside 4.

At last!! A thread about this fight where we can actually talk about what we think may happen rather than the shite that normally accompanies it.

The manner of the outcome for me depends on the game plan that Haye adopts. He cant win this fight by dancing in the way he did Valuev. But he cant be gung ho like the Ruiz fight either.

So I see Haye adopting an approach where he tries to stand in front of Wlad and counter his way inside. This is where many have failed before, but I see it as being Haye's best way to win. He needs to nullify that jab and the only way he can do that is by getting inside it. Once there, he will need to land. Sounds obvious, but there is no point in him getting inside and then ending up a clinch. Wlad would lean all over him and he'll expend too much energy.

I see Haye standing off Wlad and trying to read that jab and counter to get inside. To do this he will have to feint to procure Wlad's jab then slip it. His best two options once inside will be the left hook to the body or head or a straight right to the same two areas. Haye is quick enough with his hands to get any of these shots off, but I'm not sure he's quick enough to get a decent combination.

Haye will try this for the early mid rounds but will begin to realise that he's losing rounds as for every jab he slips, he will eat another two and he wont land enough on the inside to warrant a round in his favour. So he'll start loading up from mid range. This is Wlad's forte. Haye will be surprised at how fast Wlad closes the distance between the two and will be caught with a solid counter as he tries to land a big right hand. The variable will be whether Haye can get up. I see this being a late stoppage for Wlad or a Wlad UD.

Hope I'm very wrong by the way, I would love to see Haye starch him!

I've voted for Wlad UD just so I can see the results of the poll.

Even though like everyone else I want this to happen, I reckon it could well be a **** fight.

I'd predict that Haye will circle on the outside waving his hands around whilst Wlad stands in the middle of the ring keeping distance, slapping down Haye's left hand everytime he tries to bridge the gap. Every now and then Haye will lunge in with hooks and for the first few rounds will quickly dart back out. He's fast but I dunno if he's quick enough for Wlad, with the distance advantage he'd have, to not be able to block Haye's punches.

After about 5 rounds of this Haye will likely start to get a little desperate but still won't want to get reckless so his punches will just get a little sloppier and Wlad will start to press forward a little more.

By round 10 it will be about 7-3 to Klitschko and Haye will be looking to up his workrate. By this time, Wlad will have sussed out his attacks and will just tie up Haye everytime he comes forward.

I can see that happening too. I just think Haye will know from the off that he wont get a decision against Wlad like he did against Valuev, because Wlad will actually hit back and land. So I see him moving less and throwing more.

Interesting fight and for me the most interesting part is what plan Haye adopts.

Easy win for Wlad unless he gets caught cold.

What convinces me is I saw Haye get caught by John Ruiz Jabs... Slow and relitively short each. Wlad will make 'Pizza face' if he gets the chance. Haye should go for the early knockout, otherwise he'll just get worn down. His power will be more effective early on when he's fresh.... risky strategy but that's the only way he beats Wlad

I dont think it would be easy as some are making out, haye will give vlad a real hard time even if vlad ends up winning the fight. Yeah haye did get caught a bit too much than usual against ruiz, no sparring of the last 4 1/2 weeks before the fight due to a cut eye explains it. Haye will go for the stoppage, but he will bide his time and wait for openings, he is well disciplined to do this, wont rush it and get caught. Vlad will be happy with a points win.

I will be backing haye with at least £100 on the TKO. Once the fight is over we'll know if haye is a top level HW or a just a decent HW.

i backed haye , i just dont know how wlad will cope with someone coming onto him in spurts and staying well away in spurts rather than satyin in the range of the jab

also he wont have felt power or speed like haye before

ofcourse hayes never been in with someone like wlad but i fancy hayes new problems to be easier to overcome than wlads

  12. I say Haye by KO. Klitschko is textbook and predictable. If Haye gets hit with one shot he very rarely gets hit with the follow up meaning that the straight right of Klitschko's 1-2 probably won't get through.

My heart says Haye, my head says Wlad. If Haye can neuralise the Wlad jab and be elusive like he has the skills to be then he'll land a few bombs on him and put him away. Heart over head. Haye KO round 7.

Wlad has a geniune boxing brain, he will control the fight with that jab and wear Haye down. Wlad has been in with fast guys and big punchers before, he has also learnt a great deal from his losses I feel, I believe he will try to make Haye frustrated and start swinging crudely.

Haye was caught surprisingly by a old Ruiz. He was equally as tentative as Harrison in their 'fight' so I don't see much which would worry K Bros except a power shot.

He hasn't faced someone as fast as big punching as Haye that also has the natural athleticism to land the shots!!!
