Adamek is in talks with Peters camp at the moment. His manager Ziggy Rozalski says the talks could be going better, as team Peter is requesting too much money at the moment. Team Adamek openly admits that they canceled talks and plans to fight against RJJ in what has come to be a highly criticized opponent for Adamek. Good news that RJJ is out of the picture, I wouldnt care about that fight and Adameks stock would drop a bit for me if he did take that fight. That's not what Adamek is about, and that's not the reputation he made for himself. Peter would be a good opponent, and in interesting fight. Winner would face the winner against Chambers - Rossy for a shot at the title.
I think it would most definitely be Adamek's biggest test to date. If Peter has anything left in the tank and wants to get anything from boxing anymore, he'll come in shape and give Adamek a tough fight. If not, I believe Adamek can easily outbox him w/ his speed and movement. Either way I could see Adamek winning by UD, possibly by SD depending on Peter's heart.
hard shots and a long ass jab is what is needed to dispatch peter.. Adamek will outclass peter..but its going to be a slow carving. I'm not sure Adamek has the power to keep Samuel Peter from continuing to come forward and respect him. Adamek is going to have to use those legs and time him and be quicker than quick
Adamek eat greasy chubbies for breakfast. The mexican food digested very well, so nigerian wouldn't be any problem :good
I hope so. He always seems like the lil guy in the heavyweights world. still comes off as a cruiserweight.
Good fight, and one I'd want to see aslong as Peter comes in motivated, under 250 and gives it a go. It would answer some questions that still hang over Adamek at heavyweight for me, about his power at the weight and more importantly, his ability to take a true heavyweight's power punches without getting rocked.
Easy fight for Adamek... Peter is not the same man he was few years ago when he fought Wlad for the first time. I think that rumours about Peter's age are true. He's probably 10 years older than he says he is. Adamek is gonna do the same thing he did in Arreola fight, although this time it's gonna be even easier because Peter is smaller, slower and he doesn't throw so many punches like Arreola does. Adamek UD.
I like them to be small and in good shape, rather than big and fat. So far Goral is doing a good job IMO, he needs to step up a little bit. His most impressive HW experience is still against Arreola, regarded as the no1 HW contender at some point :good
I'd still like to see him in this sort of fight before taking on the Klitschko's. The likes of Grant and Maddalone are no preparation. I'd like to see him take on Peter and then should he win, somebody like Tony Thompson. Which is understandably a risk, but it's a risk he needs to take. He's only cheating himself by fighting the guys he has so far if he then goes into a Klitschko fight and only leaving himself underprepared. If he's serious about his chances and his intentions of beating a Klitschko, he needs to be fighting and beating the likes of Thompson etc first to properly prepare himself and go into a heavyweight title fight with the best preparation and therefore best chance of success he can possibly give himself.
Team Adamek says that Peter wants too much money. Looks like fight is not going to happen and that would mean that Adamek doesn't take part in IBF eliminator.
They are still in talks, but his promoter was quoted as saying that. If Peter turns down the Adamek fight, his stock drops significantly imo. Who else would he fight to get back up? His promoter seemed pretty enthusiastic about the idea of the March fight saying they would be even willing to go to Poland for the fight. Time will tell. I think Adamek outboxes him to a UD as well. But it will be a good fight, with the chance that Peter could land big at anytime.. well at least for the first 5 rounds.
Peter looks more solid to me, Peter at 240 is in pretty good shape. I also think Peter hits harder than Arreola. Peter is a harder fight for Adamek than Arreola was.
