Does anyone beside me actually appreciate Wladimir Klitschko's style?

Don't mix them up. Vitali has never had a safety first approach. The reasons Briggs made it to the scorecards were his ridiculous heart and chin combined with Vitali's faded power after his comeback. Vitali punched the **** out of him for 12 rounds but Briggs refused to fall - where's the safety first approach here? Have you seen Vitali's bouts vs. Sanders, Lewis, Hide, Williams, Arreola, Donald or Kirk Johnson? He went toe to toe with almost everyone throwing everything he had at his opponents. However, except Lewis und Sanders nobody was capable of touching his chin due to his exceptional style making his fights rather one-sided "wars". I guess that's where your misconception comes from.

I love watching Vitali fight. He has an awkward style and isn't as afraid to take risks as Wlad is. The guy has KO'd or TKO'd nearly everyone he has fought and always gives his opponents brutal beatings. Wlad's style is pretty boring but I admire the guy's technical skill and power. A more aggressive Wlad, with his kind of size and power, would be super exciting but his style obviously suits him best, no one has come close to beating him in years.

Too bad we'll never see a Vitali vs Wladimir match, it would be absolutely huge.

Yeah, I was wrong about that... I made the mistake of using a blanket term to describe them both, when I as really only implying Wlad, my bad.

Vitali has a great chin as well, I'm definately not disputing that, and never have.

I do find his style ugly though, he throws too many arm punches from weird angles.

Did you remember vitali vs sosnowski he was very carefull in that fight for some reason, carrying the guy all the way up to the later rounds, he could have done him in in 6.

Cannot argue with that. Sosnowksi was his worst professional fight ever. But you don't do Vitali justice if you judge him by his worst night.

    Fair enough

I like his style. He has surprisingly fast and good footwork, and the jab-straight right is my favourite move in boxing.

I think his fights are very entertaining. I enjoy watching a systematic beatdown that ends in a KO almost every time. I'm afraid most won't appreciate him until he's gone, much like the great Lennox Lewis.

For those that don't agree I suggest watching a Toughman competition where 2 out of shape bounces wing wimpy punches at each other..................

You mean the same Larry Holmes that said Rocky Marciano couldn't carry his jockstrap? Yeah, that's the same arrogant, angry piece of ****.

Ironically, Larry wasn't appreciated at all when he fought, and he rarely got the KO. :yep So much for the Easton Assassin......... :rofl
