#1 They rejected COTTO vs. VANES @ 154 and Arum only asked for a license fee of 1.5 Million for that fight; yet they rejected it...

What does Arum do; he get's pissed at them and is going to do a PPV that day with Cotto vs. Mayorga to show them, he doesn't need HBO....

Didn't they shell out over 1.2 mil for BERTO ?

Cotto had the highest ratings on HBO in 2010! I am not talking PPV, but regular HBO telecast.

#2 Martinez is the Middleweight champion; he didn't get to be a champion the easy way either; now they are bothering him about which fights he can or not take on March 12th!

To me showtime, put up way better fights in 2010 for the money.

PS: I told yall, Martinez should have taken the 2.5 mil he was offered for Cotto. Granted, it was a buyout and he would have gotten around 1.7 after dibella, manager, trainer got paid but 1.7 is better than what he is getting from HBO this March!

Now he is stuck at the Mercy of HBO; HBO is going to decide where he fights 154 to 160? Crazyness!

Also, Dibella is ******ed! He likes to call out fighters; after they are signed to face other fighters. How is it that he can make Berto vs. Cotto but not Cotto vs. Martinez?

Berto vs. Cotto? Please..... Berto needs to fight his way up; Cintron vs. Berto would be a GOOD FIGHT!

Did Arum pay you to write that? Holy ****.

I'm glad someone is taking a stand against the Bobfather and his bull**** in house matchups.

No.... but in this case, it's the truth.

I am not paying for Mosley vs. Pacquiao... that's garbage... I am not talking about that... read the original post again and you will see!

BTW, how is Cotto vs. Mayorga in house? Mayorga is with Don King!

Vanes is undefeated prospect vs. Cotto; that's a very good fight! Much better than what Berto has faced in his career!

The reason they are paying out for Berto is painfully obvious. They are trying to build another HBO star and they are barking up the wrong tree. I don't mean to **** on their chips, but Berto is not the star of the future, I think most would accept that.

Who do you view as the next rising star in the Sport?

    Canelo, Alexander, Khan, Bradley?

I think Berto has ALOT of talent but i just need to see him tested a bit...

im glad they did, im a huge cotto fan but cotto vs vanes is a ****en mismatch and a boring one sided one, cotto should fight berto, collazo, angulo or cintron.

I think they're looking for another American superstar, otherwise I might very well say Alvarez or Khan. Trying to unearth somebody to build up like Taylor. They'd be better off waiting for somebody to really grab attention for what for Ward to finish up with Showtime really then pick around the best of a bad bunch at the moment like Berto [I dont' mean bad fighters, but I don't see any of them like him, Bradley or Alexander as potential superstars at the moment].

I'm not. I'd have rather seen Cotto v Martirosyan than Cotto v Mayorga, even if they are both **** fights.

The thing is, HBO shouldn't be in the building of stars. They should be in the making/paying the top 2 in each division to fight each other.

HBO also shouldn't have picked a side (signing an exclusivity deal with GBP) and gotten cozy with a manager (Haymon).

HBO is ****ing right. Why should they pay 1.5 million for a fight no one wants to see?
