If they do it in Philly I will drive over from Montreal

Pascal won that fight on my card but in Philly I doubt he can get a fair decision. The American judge is the only one who scored it for the American fighter, I just hope they can get fair judges in Philly.

 What ??? The only thing that truly landed on Pascal was the top of Bernard's hard head which hit Pascal's chin...

Nothing else was legit in there...

    You scored it for PASCAL?

What rounds did you give him?

I thought Hopkins clearly won the fight and I had it scored 115-111 in his favor.

I'd be curious to see how you scored this round-by-round and what scoring criteria you were using?

Because I saw a fight where Pascal was being thoroughly outclassed.

    I gave Pascal rounds 1, 3, 5, 8, 10, 12

    Hopkins rounds 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 11.

    Rounds 2, 4, 5, 8, 10, 12 were all close.

For example, I gave round 4 to Hopkins, but even the American judge scored it for Pascal. On the flip side I gave round 10 to Pascal, but two of the judges gave it to Hopkins.

One of the judges gave Pascal a 10-9 round in the first, which is a real scoring travesty imo.

    1 10-8 Pascal
    2 10-9 Pascal
    3 10-8 Pascal
4 10-9 Hopkins (but Pascal should have been credited a kd)
5 10-9 Pascal (lands the BETTER shots)
    6 10-9 Hopkins
    7 10-9 Hopkins
    8 10-9 Pascal (close round)
    9 10-9 Hopkins (close round)
    10 10-9 Hopkins (close round)
    11 10-9 Hopkins
12 10-9 Pascal (Hopkins comes forward, Pascal with the better shots)

    6 rounds apiece. 114-112 Pascal

As opposed to in Canada? those judges were an embarrassment not fit to judge a strip contest between Megan Fox and a dog.

Well, the only rounds I gave Pascal were 1, 3, and 8.

Hopkins was winning the 1st round, but I agree with you about that one judge. The knockdown should have made that a 10-8 round for Pascal.

Round 2 was admittedly close, but I thought Hopkins took it.

Round 3 was obviously 10-8 Pascal.

Round 4 was clearly Hopkins (and this was when Pascal first showed real signs of fatigue, IMHO)

Round 5 was closer but it was a Hopkins round.

Round 6 & 7 were clearly Hopkins, and round 7 was the round with all those vicious body shots.

Round 8 I gave to Pascal, because he did better and seemed to have a sense of urgency. When I reviewed the fight again later, I realized this was another round that could have gone Hopkins' way.

Round 9 was a clear Hopkins round that was highlighted by a lot of good left hooks and lead rights.

Round 10 was more of the same, except Pascal was a little more active (but not really that affective). I'm hard-pressed to see anyone denying this round to Hopkins.

    Round 11 was all Hopkins.

Pascal had a good final round, but again--I don't see how you can give it to him. Hopkins came storming out the way any challenger should who's trying to take the belt from the champion. Don't get me wrong!! Pascal showed heart and spirit in this round and landed some good leather of his own. But Bernard TOOK that round.

Honestly, I don't even think this was a close fight.

If they meet again I expect Hopkins to be even more dominant regardless of where the fight takes place, but NO WAY should the rematch take place in Canada.

The fact remains, Pascal's "condition" that Bernard needs to be able to sell out 16,000-17,000 is BUSH LEAGUE. AND YOU KNOW IT!
    ;)

the only judges who were an embarrassment in that fight were the American judge who score it to the American fighter (go ****ing figure!) and the Belgian judge who scored the first round 10-9 instead of 10-8

Yes that's why the outrage from boxing fans worldwide was because of the shitty performance from the canadian and belgian judge (who had no ****ing idea what he was doing) atleast the Canadian knew what to do.

The American judge is the worst judge out of all three and USA has a long history of giving complete gift victories to hometown fighters, which is why I would be worried if Pascal went to the USA. I would still welcome the challenge for Pascal, win lose or draw.

ahahah right you should do like Rumsfeld and give all the close rounds to the challenger just because he is American.

No you should give the close rounds to who you think edged them, if you're that unsure 10-10, but that's no excuse for that Belgian judge (the incompetant twat)

    Close rounds...

One guy (Pascal) hits a lot harder than the other.

Some close rounds have to go to Pascal.
