Analysis of why it's so difficult to win a decision in Germany or Canada

Personally I think if both Germany and Canada produced atleast a 4-5 top class fighters every couple of years there would be less crooked decisions, because such countries only produce mediocre talents (that normally get exposed by better fighters) it becomes a duty for them to protect their chosen fighters at all costs, this is obvious from the boxers who fight out of said countries (the likes of Bute, Pascal, Valuev, Abraham) but in AA's defense I don't recall him getting any gifts.

It's probably the reason why judging in the UK is far superior to the **** you see in Germany and Canada, the UK manages to produce genuine talent that fight on a world stage and at a decent rate the Calzaghes and Hattons were quickly replaced with the Frochs and Khans. By no means is judging in the UK perfect and yes you'll get your fare share of 'home decisions' but comparing it to the farce over in Canada and Germany it's a boxing utopia :deal

It's harder to win a decision as a foreign fighter in the USA than in Canada.

Look at Kotelnik vs Alexander for a recent highway robbery. Pascal vs Hopkins was a close fight with many rounds that could go either way, and it was scored as such.

For example, Canadian fighter Sebastien Demers recently lost to a decision to Dionisio Miranda on ESPN Friday Night Fights, even though the ESPN broadcast team scored it for the Canadian.

So I'd say Canada probably gives the fairest decisions to foreign fighters out of all countries.

Any other country and Pascal would've won by UD, but in Canada he gets a draw despite 2 knockdowns and several rounds that could go either way

Holyfield vs. Valuev was a godamn shame.. it was nice to hear them boo.. holyfield was pleased by the overseas fans recognizing what went down..

Much like the canadians chanting for hopkins when they seen him defying the odds

it's tough to win a decision on anyone's home turf.

many fights are happenning in Germany, so surely there are plenty of bad decisions, and not enough Germans on here to defend them.

America - Where no robberies happen ever. To anyone. In the history of the sport.

    Robberies know no borders.

A very tunnel like perception on reality. We do things right and they don't.

That's again pure ignorance at it's best but why am I not surprized.....

Whiny little people...just bring all your judges and refs over here from now on.

The first AA-Miranda fight could be called a robbery maybe but it was only close because Abraham had half his face hanging off.

Corrupt refs and judges like the black ref in the Bute Andrade fight.

And the judge that actually scored the fight for Pascal which is criminal.

What a load of nonsense. Robberies happen everywhere, Germany and Canada are no worse then the UK and especially the US. It's arguably worse in the States, but no one hardly makes any noise about it when it happens over there.

It's kind of ironic seeing Hopkins ranting and raving about being robbed, and putting Canada on blast. Watch his interview after De La Hoya vs. Sturm and how he tries to justify a De la Hoya win. It's fine when it suits you, ain't it Bernard?

You say you never saw Abraham get a gift. Does the name Edison Miranda ring a bell?

Hopkins clearly knocked down Pascal with a punch which of course the ref didn't score is another reason.
