Berto or Marquez would have been just as competitive, or even less so for Marquez.

No matter who Pac fights, he'll get ridiculed except for FMJ. Berto is too green, JMM will be @ a catch weight, SSM is too old, won't go @ 154 for Martinez.

Bull****, this is a good fight! When pac fought my boy Margs I thought that was a good fight as well! These are legit welters and just because pac is destroying them doesnt mean that they are not any good!

All he does is sign the dotted line. As a fan, you gotta like that cause it makes getting the fight done a lot easier.

But, he's a politician now and I hold him to a little higher standard since he should be able to think for himself. I wish he would look at all the options and I wish his people that surround him would have vouched for Berto.

I honestly don't think he knows who Andre Berto really is. He just does his congressional job and trains.

It does f'n suck though...come on, Shane Mosley at 39? There are definitely more deserving young lions that deserve a share than Shane.

Its just simply a cashout fight for both fighters..

Why? He has plenty of fans that would love to see him fight anyone, and there are plenty of opponents who want to fight him. He can retire when he's damn good and ready with a setup like that, no need to close up shop because business goes down a little.

this is true. right now, people thinks berto is much better fight. legacy-wise he could be but when pac is finished with him, he would be another clottey on pac's resume. i would rather pac retire than facing mosley but can you stop the man from earning a living? the most people can do is not buy this fight if they do not agree just like when calzaghe and bhop fought a shot roy jones jr.

exactly, what kind of boxing fan, let alone a Pac fan would want to see him retire.

Last year this is THE fight to made aside from the obvious one, a year later and it's complete trash? Ok, it isn't as good but he isn't facing Matthew Hatton. Jeez.

To be honest how does anyone blast him. Hes a guy who force feeds to make 145 and hes wrecking people everywhere. Look at the fights hes had. They have been top comp where many people saw him losing. I thought cotto had a great shot of beating him. At the time when oscar challenged him I thought no way he can pull it off at that weight. But he made oscar quit on his stool. Other than floyd i dont see any competitive fight. But i dont see floyd making the fight.
