Early Mike had great speed & explosiveness. Good head movement combined with great combos too no doubt.

But he struggled against good boxers, with size, speed, and skill of their own. He got discouraged easily too, if his punches weren't landing or doing the damage he expected. Fact.

The perfect foil for a boxer with Mike's style is the outside skill of Wladimir with his powerful, quick, accurate jab. He can keep Mike honest too with plenty of power of his own, much the same as Lennox did. :deal

What else did Purrity, Sanders or Brewster ever do, besides flattening WALDO? Same scenario, yes?

Oh and I'm comparing the best Tyson with the worst WALDO? Who was it that said that WALDO would deal with Tyson the same way Lewis did?

Seriously man...you're debating skills stink :admin

He has only changed his style, fights taller instead of leaning forward and is more defensive minded, has a new trainer ect.

Dont even bother trying to argue. Just make a thread titled "I hate Wladimir" and do your trolling there, you arent capable of real boxing discussion.

    Wrong again slappy.

Douglas & especially Lewis used the jab followed by a mix of power shots including the right hand as well as the uppercut to keep Mike away.

That picture is old, he has gone vegan and lost a ton of weight. He is real slim now, slimmer than when he last fought. He lost over 100 pounds

Its actually great for him, he had a brother that died young, in his 30s I think from obesity issues

Lamon Brewster knocked Golota out faster than Lewis did. Granted it was an older version but that same version just arguably beat Byrd & Ruiz in his 2 previous fights. He also knocked the **** outta Krasniqi who is a very good boxer skills wise.

That's just nonsense, again you bring up the Lewis fight to back up your bull**** :rofl

Sam ****ing Peter had WALDO panicking like a deer in the headlights...Sam ****ing Peter who had no speed and **** footwork. Prime Tyson would have just walked through the guy.

Just who exactly did prime Tyson struggle against who had speed, size and skill? From my recollection he knocked them all the **** out, until he imploded.

Correct. I only posted that picture to illustrate the size difference.

Mike's in great shape now for his age. I hope he's laying off the drugs too.

Not wrong at all slappy.....re-watch the fights. Prime Tysons major weakness was the uppercut. Douglas's jabs kept him at bay for sure, but it was the uppercut or the threat of it that stopped Mike closing the distance.

It has to be stressed that the Tyson Douglas fought was nowhere near the Tyson of 2 years previous, however.

Again you talked yourself into a trap....what's this mix of power shots that WALDO would use along with the jab to keep Tyson off him? I'm curious. Don't just post that tired **** about the jab again either.

James Bonecrusher Smith took Mike the distance & he wasn't much more than a Friday Night Fights type of fighter. Mike Jameson? Steve Zouski? Peter McNeeley?

Wlad adjusted well when he was attacked but the desperate Peter. In fact he won a UD against Peter after suffering 3 knockdowns, two of which were bogus. He still won comfortably on the cards, that says a lot about how the rest of that fight went.

Yeah I hope so too. That paparazi video wasnt too good because I would have assumed he was provoked more than he was. That was 2009 and he was still somewhat fat then, so hopefully he finally has it together these days.

I love the way you Klit-ites bring up beating Byrd like it's a big ****ing deal :rofl I wonder why? Prime Tyson would have had Byrd out of the equation in a heartbeat. Ruiz....meh, the same Ruiz you all slag off Haye for beating you mean?

Funny how you slag off Haye for dominating an ancient Ruiz yet give credit to Brewster for beating an ancient Golota, I wonder why :think

Another punch Wlad would use against Tyson is the hook off the jab. 'Works great against fighters while they're defending against the big right hand. :good

Funny how you slag off Byrd when he was the #1 Heavyweight in the World at the time when Golota arguably beat him.

How long between Golota vs. Ruiz & Haye vs. Ruiz? I'm guessing Johnny was a bit more shop worn by the time that Haye got a free ride.

    Oh. ****ing. Dear.

Need I mention Iggy? He took WALDO the distance and the scorecards were similar to the scorecards in the Tyson V Smith fight. If someone comes to survive then that's the way it goes, but Iggy cannot be compared to Smith, who you interestingly describe as a Friday night fighter...he was far better than that.

2 knockdowns were bogus eh....story of WALDO's career really isn't it? Always an excuse, same as with the Brewster fight, and the Purrity fight.
