If you think thats an upset then theres no hope for the future of MMA's legitimacy. As everyone knows im a huge Pro Wrestling fan. But Brock the best heavy in the world? Not by ANY stretch of the imagination. If the UFC wants to establish its premier division as the best in the world it simply needs to have the most experienced and best fighters out there on offer. Right now it has neither.
The upset of this year is positively Fedor Werdum. No one expected Werdum to win much less via submission in a few minutes.

edgar beating penn is no surprise

penn looks outa shape with little will to win the big matches

go so far as saying he is shot and should save himself further embarassment and retire

+1 though I will say, while I absolutely 100% did not expect Werdum to win, if I had to guess HOW he would win IF he won I, and I bet most, would have thought sub.

What was Penn's fight like right before he fought Edgar? Was it a 5 round one sided utter beatdown of a top contender? What was his fight like right after his two fights with Edgar? Was it a 15 second blowout KO over a UFC Hall of Famer? Get the **** outta here. Edgar just has a style, coupled with his insane athleticism and speed, that is 100% perfect for Penn.

Werdum beating Fedor just seems the clear choice.

:patsch Maybe the rematch but the first match up is a surprise. Penn was on a winning streak @ 155 beating pulver-sherk-florian and sanchez in a dominating fashion. Everybody expected penn to beat edgar in their first fight.

Werdum beating Fedor is probably the biggest upset in MMA history.

Oh come on, after lesnar beat carwin who many thought had the best chance of beating brock, not many people gave cain a good shot at beating lesnar especially after how cain look against cheick kongo.

Cain looked horrible against Kongo. I gave him no chance against Lesnar. Cain proved he is on another level right now.

If it weren't for the Fedor Upset, Edgar over Penn would be the clear choice. Unfortunately it will get overshadowed because this is the year that Fedor's streak ended. Not unlike when Bill Goldberg was power bombed by Kevin Nash after he was tasered at Starcarde '99 - except that this is for real.

yep that's why not many gave cain a chance to beat lesnar. Especially after how lesnar survive against carwin and won.
