Prime for prime, I'm not sure how Calzaghe fares against Ward, but if he's fool enough to try a comeback he will get his ass handed to him very badly. I hope he has the sense to stay retired.

Yeah, I'm confident we'll never see him in the ring again.

Prime for prime, Calzaghe vs Ward would have been an excellent fight. Both are very adaptable guys. Calzaghe is so awkward though, and I think his high volume would wear Ward down. Ward doesn't have the power to deter JC's onslaught, but he is technically superior. Could go either way. Ward is still so young though, not sure if he is even in his prime yet. But from what I've seen, I think Calzaghe would edge it.

    Sad but true

Calzaghe beats anyone currently at those weights

None could be really all that close.

Thanks I needed a good laugh, Ward would do what Hopkins did but at a 500% better rate, there's a reason Calzaghe retired, Ward's waiting for him.

That Englishman Froch fights everyone in fact he's going to fight Ward, while Joe snorts coke with tranny hookers.

What a truly outstanding acurate thread, that just shows how great Calzaghe was. Most of the ignorant posters on here only knew Calzaghe when past his best.:clap::clap:
On your list of names you could have also added
    This content is protected
    - who beat undefeated Clinton Woods and ran Ottke close
    This content is protected

    This content is protected
    - who was in the Rings top 10 when Calzaghe beat him
    This content is protected
    - who was world rated and after losing to Calzaghe went on to KO the undefeated 26-0 European champion Chanet to become Euro champ.
Its a shame Tate, Telesco and Echoles backed out of fighting Calzaghe.

America has to live with the fact that Calzaghe BEAT Hopkins and Jones

Nobody cares about Calzaghe, we're glad he retired, he did us all a favour, now i hope his fans do us a favour to and just go away. Were getting pretty bored of the 46-0 thing.

Froch has a better resume than Calzaghe.

Lack of knowledge here. Calzaghe had just beaten Kessler and he had a choice, fight Ring P4P #3, Ring LHW champ or fight Froch the WBC mandatory who hadnt done anything to challenge the premier man :patsch at the time. Nobody thought Froch would have a chance against Calzaghe and he would have got less respect beating Froch than he did for beating Hopkins. One fight had nothing to gain the other had everything. You must be stupid to think Calzaghe ducked Froch

Calzaghe clearly ducked Froch you're just too dumb to realize it, that's why he retired, didn't want to lose his 0.

 How do you work that out. You must be in the name game.
Froch has done well and is a good fighter, but hasnt done as much as Calzaghe yet.
You must be taken in by hype and rate fighters because you know their name rather than what they have achieved

I know isn't that beautiful how Ward dominated and brutally stopped Kessler a man who tagged Cazlaghe up multiple times. Joe should come out of retirement, I'd like to see him get destroyed.:hey

he's spending most of his money on coke, he will come back eventually and lose.

Given if Froch beats Glen Johnson.

    Glen Johnson > RJJ
    Pascal > Kessler
    Dirrell < BHop
    Abraham > Lacy
    Taylor > Mitchell

And Froch aint finished, and has already talked about a Pascal Rematch at LHW, shown more balls than Calzaghe did in Calzaghe's 38 years on earth.

No because Froch is fighting the best fighters in the world. Froch is still pretty early in his career

Calzaghe fought the worlds best when he finally decided to come out of hiding and about 4 years later he retired.
