now ricky hatton is retired, and craig holds a solid win over the other hatton, id say that watson is manchesters best fighter active at the time of writing this, IF he gets the brit title with revenge over o'donnell, and magic matt abandons his lofty world ambitions then we have a good return wich would guage matts improvement. This would be a local derby, a good fight, and probably of more intrest than matt fighting a plastic alphabet champ that his promo team has trawled up. I will stick to the original heading and say watson will remain manchesters current best.:yep:think:good

If Watson beats O'Donnell i think he'd beat Hatton again. He schooled him not to long ago and i think even though Matt's made a few improvements he couldn't get to grips with Watson at all that night and Watson's a very decent fighter. Not a stiff upright comeforward fighter or basically European styled fighter that Matt likes.

Probably the best thats proven to a decent degree. Closely behind him Crolla who has really improved a good deal. Then probably Hatton for me. Even though Hatton has won a Euro title, he´s only beaten Euro stiffs really, I'd fancy these to do the same if they were fortunate enough to fight one of these Eurobots.

I fancy Joe Murray to be a good deal better than Craig Watson though.

If you mean O'Donnell fight i agree. Thought he did more then enough...really knocked his career back. A win that night who knows what might of happened he was looking very good at the time.

O´Donnell hardly landed ****. It was ridiculous. I felt sure Watson's movement and flurries had won him the fight, it was fine ring generalship against that lanky guy. Robbery...

In terms of accomplished, it's still (unfortunately) Matt Hatton for me recently.

Yeah Matt's definitely got the best record, obviously. He's not the best fighter though. I'd fancy any of these if they could find a Senchenko type eurostiff with a padded record, or Branco who is about 56 years old. Things have fallen perfectly for Matt, while Watson has been jettisoned.

Yeah I agree that he's not the best fighter, I agree with Mandana that if Watson comes through O'Donnell [which I don't expect him to being honest] then I'd pick him to beat Hatton again aswell.
