****in' A. Skippy, dude... I have it... Its a two-part film that runs 3 1/2 hrs... It'll teach you a few things about Jack as a fighter and private citizen... DO IT!

    Yeah, worth watching.

Its pretty close to some facts, others are far off like the Firpo fight being 1 round lol.

Doc Kearns was a degenerate gambling junkie that gambled a good deal of J.D's early purse money... I'm not sure if Jack ever got paid back by Kearns... OUCH!

    Not sure on that.

I seen pics of Dempsey with the best cars, a RELLY nice house with a swimming pool, and other stuff with wife Taylor. You cant afford stuff like that with pennys.

The movie is bloody awful. But the fight scenes are pretty good. That's the best thing about the film.

Doc Kearns absolutely spent a small fortune of Dempsey's money.

10-4. The '83 film does depict that Doc Kearns mishandled Jack Dempsey's cabbage to a certain extent... The film has a scene where promoter Texas Rickard has Dempsey in his office after a fight and he tells Dempsey that Kearns is a gambler and that Dempsey should begin investing in the stock market... Dempsey took that advice from Rickard, however, like many folks, Dempsey took a huge hit with the crash of '29...
