I wouldn't say so. When you hit a guy with your best shot, even if they're blind sided you don't always get a KD, happened with me in the AMs a few time. What does happen is when you see the legs go you get confidence, you can hurt the guy!!

Shane only lost confidence when he realised Floyd had adapted. He had no plan B to counter Floyd and there wasn't a damn thing he could do about it.

plus mosley knew he is already getting tired. age is a huge factor. inactivity doesn't help either.

Mayweather's ring intelligence is so advanced, he could beat mosley regardless of what his gameplan was because eventually he would neutralise all of mosley's tactics.
Floyd's advanced skill and defense allowed him to stand infront of mosley and trade and come on top.
Watch the fight again, it truly is a boxing exhibition !

So if two random people told you to groan another mans name for entertainment you would?

Do you enjoy calling men names aloud?

if you hit a guy twice with your best shot and you know you cant outbox him, your trainer has told you on at least several occasions you cant outbox him tell me exactly what you can do!

How is a guy who has been boxing 32 years not prepare for a fight?

Mosley was as fit as usual he landed more shots in the second half of the fight.

    He got outboxed and panicked

Your idol is fighting him next.

    You're an idiot.

thanks for letting us know how the fight will be on the inside, Leon's talking about clinching, a different animal altogether. sorry, MC Hammer. If Floyd tries to step in for a clinch, he can't do so with a guard in place and that's not good news. I think vs Manny he's going to try and use his reach advantage to create distance and try to time him on the way in. I don't think it will be successful however as I believe Manny will outwork him to a decision.

You have a right to your opinion. You must understand that getting on the inside requires skills to do it. You have to realize that Floyd's feet are just as fast as Manny's and Floyd has better footwork than Manny as well. You think Manny will be throwing 100 punches per round and you are sadly mistaking. Manny is going to have to think against Floyd and he will lose that battle. See Floyd can fight at a distance but he can also fight inside. Manny covers up when he gets punched at and the fires back with combos. What happens when Floyd hits him and is not there for Manny to land those punches. Hell JMM outworked Manny and he is slower than Manny. The point is Manny will have problems with pure boxers and thats why he has stayed away from them since JMM.

If only mayweather had fought pacquiao straight out of retirement this conversation wouldnt be here right now. People would probably be saying floyd has been ducking martinez or williams for some time now. Instead of this forum being flooded by filipinos.

You are a ******! Nobody is saying Floyd would run from Mosley. The thread is asking why did he stay in front of Mosley instead of moving around the ring.:huh

I respect that opinion and I realise Floyd has the ability to get inside, but I feel Manny also has the ability to stop Floyd clinching through his own quick feet. You believe Manny won't throw 100 punches a round, I believe he will. I think what will be so great about the fight, should it happen, is that both fighters will be doing things in anticipation of their opponents next move for every second of every round and it will be a more action packed fight than the schooling hardcore Floyd fans envision and more of a chess match than the one sided beatdown hardcore Pacquiao fans envision. Both fighters are top class, they bring different things to the table and I just prefer Pacquiao's style that bit more because he brings drama to the ring more often than Floyd.

The one thing you fail to realize is that styles make fights. Manny has been put in the ring with guys that fit his style. Not knocking him. Thats just called good match making by Arum and Roach. Let me break it down for you. Manny can punch from angles but so can Floyd. How do you take away angles of Manny? With your foot work. Floyd has the best foot work in boxing. Manny doesn't have a jab to offset Floyd but Floyd has a great jab. Did Manny throw 100 punches pe round against the last pure boxer he faced in JMM? Yes or No
