you're right, they do make fights and neither fighter has fought anyone that implements the other's style so well, which is why NOBODY, despite how much they know/ think they know about boxing, can 100% say how the fight goes. Pacquiao didn't throw 100 punches a round vs JMM, no, but he did still manage to work his way to a close decision, helped by the early knockdown. Since then a lot of work has went into developing his right hand and he appeared impressive going to the body vs Margarito. This is all pointless talk until the bell for the opening round sounds, but should that never happen Pacquiao's all time rating is higher than Floyd's.

 

Floyd has seen every style that you can think of. He has fought guys with power, movement, defense, brawlers, counter punchers. You name it. You also need to realize that Zab Judah is probably faster than Manny from point A to B even though Zab doesn't throw those combo's. He has fought guys with great foot work as well. Let me ask you a question who is faster out of Flooyd and Manny when it comes to hand speed? I say Floyd bc Floyd has better timing to go with his hand speed. Marquez is way slower than Manny and he was able to beat Manny to the punch bc of his great timing alone. Another thing I want to ask you is which fighter is more capable of neutralizing the others hand speed? The way to stop hand speed is with a jab. Foot speed is harder to deal with and they both have that.

you just keep asking questions that have the answer 'Floyd' pre-determined. you're being a bit biased in your analysis, especially the part about handspeed when you try to include timing which is something different altogether Like I've said, both fighters have never faced an opponent like each other, until they square off your opinion can't be forced upon someone with a conflicting view.

You said neither one has faced an opponent like each other and I told you that Floyd has seen every style you can think of. Manny has seen Floyd's style to a degree and that was with JMM but Floyd is that version x 10 with better defense and speed and ring IQ.

Manny would have been calling floyd from his own free will.

Floyd was being told to say his name yet refused because unlike manny he is hi own man and dont get pimped out.

Floyd Mayweather has not seen the style that Manny Pacquiao fights with in the ring, because he has not fought him and none of his previous opponents offer anything that is both similar and equally effective in terms of ability and carrying out the game plan. If you want to take snippets from other fights, what if Manny uses the style you've compared to Zab Judah and wins the 1st few rounds, Floyd adjusts and Manny takes the Castillo I approach and wins the next few rounds, Floyd adjusts again and Manny takes the Mosley 2nd round approach and wins the next few rounds? You can try and break it down all you want to what Floyd has faced, he has not faced those styles blended together in 1 fighter and you can't possibly tell me otherwise. I told you about 10 posts ago I respect your opinion, why can't you respect mine?

 

at this point in his career Mosley telegraphs his punches so much that you don't need to stay at range to make him miss cause you can see the punches coming a mile away

 

There was probably contact made while Mayweather was retired. But I don't think there was any possible way that terms could have been agreed to at that time. I don't see Pac agreeing to fight at 147 at that time or Mayweather agreeing to come down to 140. I don't see them agreeing on a 50-50 split at that time either.
