james toney is a proven multiple banned steroid taking disgrace which tells you everything you need to know about the man and his sickenning mindset. he is a proven cheat :-:)dead:dead:dead:-(

check out the long list of average fighters that toney has beaten by sd, drew or lost to (its a very long one)

its pretty sad when toneys delusional fans try to build up his resume by feeling the need to build up a eurobum like jirov or an over the hill iran barkley who had previously been blasted out in 1 round by nigel benn and then lost to former lightweight roberto duran :dead:dead:patsch

Aww headbanger's mom and dad don't give him enough attention at home so he has to make ridiculous posts to **** people off.

If you're going to troll make it less obvious

Toney is one of the best to ever do it. Just wish his love of the training matched his natural talent level.

James "Taps Out" Toney was a highly skilled boxer but was always much stronger when he was on steroids.

His talent - or potential H2H ability if he had sustained a serious work ethic - tends to be overrated. his actual accomplishments and overall resume, however, get overlooked a bit too often. I don't have a top 100, but Toney would probably find his way onto it if I did.

One of the most skilled boxers of the last 50 years with excellent power at middle-light heavy

fair and balanced post and as gooner (i think) made the point that he was pleasing to watch and gets a lot of cred for that. in the end, he struggled with people he shouldn't have, lost to people he DEFINITELY shouldn't have and wasted potential. i consider donald curry to be potentially one of the greatest fighters of the 80s...but the fact he didn't actually do a whole lot counts against him.

toney's wins are enough to be HOF worthy, not all time great worthy. the fact is he didn't always perform to his best and it showed in his losses and close wins. those have to be included with his brilliant wins
