Pretty simple...do everything from a southpaw stance. That's really the only way. It'll feel awkwards at first but it gets easier the more you do it. I've just been messing around with it I'm not sure how long now, but I can move and punch pretty comfortably.
+1..If you're not southpaw then you're not southpaw, why try to be something you aren't? You'll improve much quicker in your natural stance.
my left jab in orthodox is very fast and accurate it lands basically anytime i throw it ---but the problem is its not that strong pressure fighters swarmers and people with great chins usually juss eat my orthodox jabs and juss come forward with combination's because they dont respect the power of my orthodox jab------------- so recently i did some experimenting to cut a long story short i found out my right jab in southpaw has about 80 percent of the strength of my right straight in orthodox im juss starting to learn southpaw but when i spar in southpaw my right jab gets respect like it can push people back like a straight right---i dropped 1 0r 2 people using my right jab in southpaw------ but no one has ever gotten dropped from my left jab in orthadox but also i found also it feels natural for me to throw it (but also for whatever reason the southpaw stance does feel more natural to me then the orthodox stance like i have the potential to become a converted southpaw also known as a right handed southpaw or atleast a switchfighter ????
Be born left handed. The precived atavntages are not as good as the real disadvantages of converting to a southpaw. Sure you give your oppoents a look they may not have seen before but you are now a one handed fighter.
I don't know much about boxing, this may be completely wrong, but as far as I know the jab is meant to be a set-up punch, speed and accuracy are most important. Who cares if you've never dropped someone with it? If your jab has little power, then learn how how to put power into it...
Sounds like you need to work on your movement and evasive footwork to learn to fight with a pressure fighter. Not change your entire stance/style.
If you watch boxing ever, nobody ever gets dropped with jabs. As Virus said, it's a set up punch..Maybe you can't knock people back with your jab, but you can put a straight right or a left hook after it, which will knock someone back.. Only elite fighters switch stance, and even then it's not very often..I think it would be more suitable to just learn in orthodox..It's much easier because it's the way you're meant to stand..
one of the people i dropped i hit in the soler plexus he stood in front of me threw a jab i slipped to the inside fast and hit him with a double right jab in the soler plexus and down he went ---and it is possible tyson dropped people with a jab im not comparing myself to tyson i juss used him as an example to support my statement aneways --------my right jab has 80 percent of the power of my rightstraight ----------im naturaly a righty 1 of the reasons i was thinken of learnin southpaw was because it feels more natural to me
