Haumono was never going to go anywhere in boxing other than be a very very good domestic level fighter. To think he could be competitive at world level is laughable.

I dont think he would have been world level either...but he definitely has the ability to dominate pretty much nearly all from Australia & the Pacific.:good

Happy to give him props over Kirby and congrats for that win.

But from what your saying, I suppose you rate 1 good performance against 3 shithouse performances out of 4 constitutes his career going ahead in leaps and bounds?

He's flat out not good enough, as simple as that.

leaps and bounds? who said that fool?

he may not have become world champ, but when u look at some of the guys in the world heavy rankings, it wouldn't surprise me if he beat a number of them. just look at guys like welliver etc.
chisora was about to face wlad ffs, he hardly has a sensational resume either. he has 1 good win to his record.
i hate it when people just dismiss aussie fighters, thinking they have little international prospects. there r plenty of overseas fighters in the rankings that have no greater resumes then our fighters. even if some of ours r not overly wonderful.
i mean leapai has made the rankings and the majority think he has little skills, but he has good power and it makes up for it a bit.

    Fool hey??

Read my post dickhead as you said you went to school. I didn't say you said it, you will see I asked the question, you know, ends with one of these - ?

Opinions are like assholes as the old saying goes - I can dismiss who I wish too, in this case Haumono as a fighter as that is my opinion and you can dismiss you feel like as it's your opinion but we certainly don't have to agree, hence I said that earlier too.

I support Aussie fighters, but I am also realistic in my opinion on their abilities or performaces. If you see my other posts, I also criticise the way sanctiong bodies rate 'unproven' or 'not worthy' fighters so in part of what your say, I agree with you.

Haumono had an abundance of ability early on, but wasted it appearing on Boxa undercards against rubbish. He isn't in my opinion going anywhere with his career now and to large degree, I agree with Kegsy and other posters, he also lacks the real hunger to do anything of serious note.

****ing call people fool's when they have valid opinions. Grow up you dickhead.

Ash, you being the No.1 Boxa hugger would know that Haumono split from Boxa prior to the Colin Wilson fight.

Boxa have really ramped up their support Australian boxing with their latest circus, oop's I mean boxing act Sonny Bill Williams who's going to be their next 'World Domination' fighter...

    Boxa - ****ing please...

How far do you guys reckon Solo could have gone if he had gone to USA early in his career and gave boxing 100% dedication instead of staying here in aus and just fighting occasionally ?

Not far at all. He'd have been lucky to make it past the point of being a sparring partner in the US.

Somehow getting gloves signed by Anthony won't sit too well alongside the ones I have signed by Jeff and Kostya, along with Johnny Lewis signing both also.

Somehow just don't have the credability that those two fighters had...

Sorry Ash to burst that Choc love bubble for you.

Hard to say. I'm probably a little different to Bobby's opinion. As per my earlier post, I thought he had some ability but wasted it.

I certainly feel he would have been good enough to get himself some fights on ESPN Friday Night Fights if he was in the right hands.

Awful thing is, most Heavyweight propects end up in the wrong hands over there like a Don King who ends up shelfing more fighters and others and are largely in-active. Look at Meehan for example.
