Being able to throw combo's and not having to throw them are two different things. Floyd can throw combos if he has to do that. Maybe Manny will make him have to do that but I doubt it. Manny cannot and will not throw 100 punches per round against Floyd bc Floyd will not be in front of him flat footed for him to do it. Manny is going to have to think in that ring with Floyd.

    Which fighters.

Surely if they were standing infront of him he would take more damage.

one huge point is that pacquiao is a southpaw, thats a nightmare for floyd to fight...corly hurt him bad, andjudah was gettting the best of him for the first 4 rounds...both of these guys are not even half as good as manny..manny pressures him from the get go throwing barrage of punches, though hed miss lots he'd land some too and at some point i expect floyd to move a lot even throwing less than his usual low output...floyd would get outworked ....floyd does'nt have a chance if he trades, period!

Hey dude I don't know if you have ever boxed before but the way you take away angles is with your foot work and movement. I like both guys and to be honest Manny hasn't faced any fighter with decent foot work since JMM.

Judah and Corley got out boxed. Hell Floyd rocked Corley right back in the same round. By the way Floyd use to spar these guys all the time and they know each other very well. Floyd vs Judah was nothing more than a chess match and Floyd won by checkmate.

so much misinformation in this thread. Floyd beat up 6 southpaws in his entire career. They put him in with one immediately, his 2nd pro opponent was a southpaw. He won 38 out of 40 rounds against southpaws. The only one to win any rounds was Zab, and it was a grand total of 2 rounds.

He will have to unless he hurts Pac, Pac may be less skilled etc. but he's relentless he will never stop. Floyd who was pushed to the brink of defeat vs. Castillo never threw combination's in that fight, he skipped around landing jabs and the occasional pot shot or single counter. The Castillo 2 fight was a lot closer than people think and in that fight he did the same single shot clinic.

Are those single shots going to prove effective in stopping Pac in his tracks like Mosley was? I think that's a good question.

jmm did'nt win sh1t...well, then let me do the same thing....jesus chavez whos a midget compared to floyd gave floyd fits up until he gassed and could'nt contineu...castillo arguably beat floyd, he's not better than pac...a past prime hoya only lost vs floyd by SD, pac tkoe'd him....
floyd has a mental advantgae?....the boxing world already knows he aint as confident of beating pac thats why he's so hesitant to fight him....lol

At this pont Manny moves better then Floyd. Floyd is usually stationary and only moves from the waist up. The only time I see him use his feet is when he tries to run. And yep I have boxed competively and employing quick zig zagging footwork, I screwd up a lot of sneaky, quick guys.

Castillo applied a different type of pressure on Floyd their first fight. A lot of times he moved in and didn't do any thing and he kept Floyd guessing at times with his pressure. At times Floyd thought Castillo would punch but he didn't. Plus add to the fact that Floyd was hurt going into that fight as well and boxed the **** out of him the second fight.
